But he would still only be a squad player - so why pay over double for a slight improvement that is still not in your starting XIyes he does qualify as hg

Hope this puts an end to the whole HG madness. 10M for Delph, I hope Txiki tests RM with a 35M bid for Isco. No need spending 50M on sterling just because he's home-grown.
What are we waiting for then?
There is when its a requirement to play in the league.
We have to have home grown players so forget wanting Isco instead of Wilshere or Delph.
A bench warmer at best once again he will not improve our team, I hope this is just paper talk.
On the homegrown rule I don't understand why we do not sell Willy and go for Rob Green as back up or a young English keeper....having Willy take up an overseas spot is annoying ....
You can't seriously think we're willing to spend £40 mill plus on Sterling just to satisfy the HG requirements? We would be better off submitting a 19 man squad including Hart & Clichy. How many HG players do we really need right now? would we still need Sterling if we sign Delph? if its all about meeting up with the FA's HG requirements then delph's signing should be enough, right?
Quality player. Current England international. Home grown. Excellent value for money. What's not to like? Some serious spoilt brat syndrome going on in this thread.
