Alan was the Chinese fella who owned double luck, was a good chippy that.

We used to really take the piss out of Bob, his pies and cheese always looked well past it,he always had dirty hands and we used to call his cheese thumbprint cheese, Wilf used to live above the shop, always wore wellies even in the summer.

I'm moving on Friday and will want somewhere to watch Wales v Belgium. I'll try The Willow as it seems home for City fans.

Cheers mate. I am a native, just lived away for donkeys years. My old mum is going into St Marys for an op on Thursday so I will be around for maybe up to a fortnight. Had compassionate leave from work. If anyone will be having a pint during that time, give me a shout as I will be going stir crazy. Ive joined a gym on a 2 week deal and will be busy enough in the days visiting the hozzy but come the evenings I will not be sitting in the house with the massive **** that is her partner.

I'd forgotten about bob's. Always past it's best goods on the counter with a handwritten sign proclaiming "Out of date but still okay 50p"

Thank you, friend. I'm still looking at flats around Rhodes in Middleton but if I enjoy Failsworth then I may stay there.

Failsworth is like a glue pot, not many get away. And those that do normally end up coming back eventually.
 
Just over a week in now and I feel settled. Bombing around on the Metrolink to get places and everyone I've met is very friendly and welcoming. The Willow was nice for Wales v Belgium and Wales v Portugal. I also had a pint or two in The Bricklayers.

Does anyone have contact details for Failsworth OSC? I want to join a branch for 16/17.

No mither. I've e-mailed my old branch for help but hopefully someone can provide a name. It's not always too easy to learn how to join these things.

Failsworth Blues O.S.C. will be holding their A.G.M. 20th July @ 8pm in the Willow. You can join and meet fellow Blues on the night.

We all look forward to meeting you.

More info will be posted on here nearer the time.
