Fans Not Staying To Applaud The Team

Yeah let’s just drop it. Fine if people turn up late, go home early, don’t turn up at all, don’t sing. Accept all of this, or else you’re a super fan.
it’s almost like if there was such a thing as a super fan that it would be a bad thing.

What’s so bad about staying till the end?

I accept that everybody has the right to leave when they want and has more important things than City.

But the Etihad is a long way from being the hardest stadium to get away from. Its a 25 minute walk to Piccadilly station.

Do people not realise how shit it looks to everybody. My toes were curling at the end of the two home games this season.

Love to know what Haaland thinks when he scores an 18 minute hat trick to seal an amazing comeback win and there is nobody left at the end to applaud the team off. I would imagine he wonders wtf is going on, which is pretty much what the rest of the country think when they see the stadium empty on 88 mins whilst we are champions and top of the league.

He is used to 80,000 staying back in Dortmund where there is a tradition of fans and team applauding each other. We are the polar opposite.
Bang on the money mate. Our fan base has changed so much. 70s 80s and 90s we were shit but there was a stoicism and loyalty amongst our fans that for decades was second to none. Now so many people are of a couldn’t give a fuck persuasion. We can deride them scousers all we like but they stay behind to clap their team off. Our players must find it very strange. On the other hand our away support is wonderful and always sold out; sick to death of hearing how brilliant palace fans are, second away game of the season and barely a thousand attended, that’s fucking rubbish

It''s the same the league over we aren't anything special in that regard.

As a fan base we have probably become blasé about come backs and winning in general. Even at 0-2 HT yesterday I was 95% certain we’d turn it around - that’s not what fans of other teams can expect, we’ve become specialists in pulling a victory from the jaws of defeat when needed.

The comeback/stellar performances from individuals are that often they don’t hit the same as they would for fans of most other clubs.

The sad thing is we’ll probably only really recognise this once Pep is gone and the relentless machine we’ve become under his tenure isnt quite as relentless.

With our history with iconic moment's near the final whistle you'll think we would be the most likely fans who would want to stay to the end

I leave early most games….absolutely nobody elses business. Getting away from the ground is shit and must be one of the worst in the country.

Staying until the end doesn’t make you a better fan than the early leavers, it really doesn’t.
It's really not that bad compared to others
