On the waiting list for a Toyota GR86 but no idea if i'll actually get the email invite to buy...

They sold the supposed UK allocation (450 cars) in 90 minutes last year but they are currently inviting people on the waiting list to order additional cars /cancelled orders. No idea how many cars there are and no idea where I am on the waiting list...

Regardless SWMBO needs to be convinced if I do get the chance to order one as she thinks I'm too old for one at 59 :-(

I had one of these new in 1991.. A Pewter Grey Honda CRX.. Brilliant car that I bought duty free when I was based in Cyprus. I only sold it because we had a toddler and the back seat was't ideal

As crazy as it sounds I just can’t justify over £30k on a Yaris

A crazy thing to say as it’s a stellar car but it’s stopping me even considering one

If I don’t get a GR86 I’m going to buy the far less practical Mx5 RF (or possibly an Abarth Spider which is pretty much an Mx5 anyway)

The only red thing I own !
Error on MOT .... the 'mileage' is actually KMs, still on the original engine.
So whats that around 150,000 miles over 33 years or just under 3000 miles per year. (first 10 years driven in Japan).
Cost 695.00 in 2010, i guess ive spent couple of grand over that time on a few shiny bits.

Ours is silver ( put a pic up later). just had the mot last week think is on 196,000 km original engine . Mrs bought off her brother about 3 or 4 years ago . she uses it as her daily car . Needs a little tlc on the paint work . love it

He wants nearer 40k for it..
Had a go. In it and it's just brilliant. Can be any car you want it to be at touch of a button. Pisses all over the fiat

Yes .. I’d buy a good used one if it was the RF or the Fiat… the GR86 I’d make an exception if I got the invite to buy. Even though they’ve found more inventory I still think the depreciation on them will be low

I’m sure it does.. But no chance that SWMBO would approve the capex.. It’ll be a fight to get the GR86
