Favourite European teams

But my favourite foreign team is Hertha Berlin. On my first visit to that great city, I was staying on the same street as the club's bar - Hertha was in 2. Bundesliga at the time and rather small-time in its outlook - and I went in there for a drink one evening.

I couldn’t speak any German at the time, but I seem to remember having an interesting night.

I met a group of Hertha fans at the friendly against Hamburg when Keegan was with us. They hated Hamburg and had travelled over to support City. They were a great bunch and wouldn’t let me buy a drink, I lost count of how many pints they got me and a mate but I didn’t last the night out.

What are the best teams outside the big boys to go watch in Spain/Portugal?
Thinking of taking the old man.
 
1860 Munich - play in sky blue, share a city with entitled rivals who are supported by tourists.
Also FC St Pauli from Hamburg for different reasons.
