It's probably the first tine in their history they have made a profit!

That will be when they show The FA Cup final and Big Brother fans turn out to watch on the big screen
They hate the Glazers and United but are happy to take their money hahaha half and hard scarf on sale

That was a big payday for them. Although the biggest crowd of the season at the ground by a long way was when Bury, playing in the league below them rented the ground out as their pitch was knackered. Without that last minute hire or united reaching the cup final they’d have made another loss on the year.

Also the 3G community pitch outside the ground has been there since opening costing around £500k, these have an expected 10 year lifespan. There’s was opened in 2016 & paid for in the main by grants as it’s a community facility (although they’ve specifically just renamed the ground as the Broadhurst Park centre of excellence to deter local kids that the pitch isn’t there for them & stop them being a nuisance by playing on an astroturf pitch when it’s not being used) anyway, one of the conditions of the grant was they have to create a sinking fund & be prepared to replace or & invest £500k of their own money on a new 3G pitch when the original wears out around 2026ish, so far they’ve completely ignored that & they have zero in a sinking fund. They have no way to fulfill that Grant requirement or replace an astroturf pitch that funds most of their business model. They already have had a two year interest payment from the council on the millions they owe them. They took an extra £150k emergency loan off the council to get through the previous season, yet they’re still worried about cash flow and reporting paying their bills as they’re due as a concern.

They are a financial basket case, (why they’ve just put 3 new shirts on sale for the 2024-25 season, yet preach about the commercial exploitation of modern football being bad) I’d be delighted to see them go bust soon, if it wasn’t for the millions they owe the council on a white elephant of a ground in Moston

When they eventually go bust millions of pounds of council money will go up.in smoke. Surely individuals at the council need to be held responsible for the misappropriation of public funds?

Just like the real rags.

The highest attendance at the swamp was a match involving two other teams.

I'm actually surprised they haven't deliberately gone bust to shed the debt owed whilst secretly forming a new club - FC United of Moston or some other shite name - and offering to start again in the NW Counties debt free.
The council will fall for it simply because what will the council do with Pallet Park otherwise.
As mentioned above, an investigation into the misappropriation of tax payers money should be held.
How do a group of charlatans (not the ones from Northwich) approach any council and inform them they are running a semi pro football club that hadn't made a profit (does any non league team at that level run on a profit?) and were asking for a million or so to firstly help fund a stadium and secondly help to keep the club afloat - and get it in full plus some more?

The council are never seeing any of the money back. May as well let them go to the wall before some bright spark thinks it's a good idea to pump some more tax payer's hard earned into this failing vanity project

The latest from their board suggests that all football clubs are fucked, on the plus side the council have told them that they can’t afford to lend anymore.

They say they are unfortunate in nit having a "wealthy backer", which is why they are in the shite.
What the feck have Manchester City Council been to them then ?
Also, which club at their level truly have a "wealthy backer" ?
They peaked about 15 years ago, when their relatively big support and MCC grants/loans, allowed them to buy promotions via poaching good players from opposing clubs.
There no moans then about "wealthy backers", as they could then pay higher wages than the competition...
