They have a far better recent European history than us and are genuinely one of the top teams in Europe even if they play in the Russian league. we have modernised on the European model and have a Director of Football who is responsible for all things football at the club

We have paid what is a relatively high transfer fee for 28 yo player. He has never played in the premiership - hence currently unproven. We will only know if he's any good in 12 months time at which he will be pushing 30 yo - hence no resale value. Therefore I hope we have got this one right? That's about it really.

However, I do understand that any single word from anyone that even begins to remotely question any actions or utterances from our new Management Team is now seen as dissent and 'off message' and slapped down RAWK style pretty quickly these days though.

So what is his transfer fee then as you clearly must know it to say "relatively high transfer fee" as has been said before no-one knows what was paid but the figures vary from £22m to £42m so clearly the media have no idea.

I noticed that PB wrote that he had been informed that it was £25 and that with add-ons that could rise to £30m and that Fernandinio had foregone a £4m bonus hence quotes of £30m and £34m the truth is unless you have sight of the contract its all guesswork but we fans have been brainwashed in to taking what the media tell us as gospel and they have a line of "moneybags City" to sell ....dont fall for it
