Fernandinho (continued)

A twat was on here earlier wumming about it, the twitter rumour will have started from that.

He's fine.

Yes some twat talking about knowing someone at the club who reported that he had a hip injury. I can't find anything to substantiate this and normally someone would be reporting it

The first reference to this on this forum was on page 91 and following of the pre match thread by the enchantingly named 'goatfacedkillah'. A few pages later he elaborates about being related to someone who is married to someone who works in the club etc etc

Of course as these things happen once someone wums about a key player, and then you add the ingredient of a big match, then these unsubstantiated rumours take on a life of its own.

If the lovely goatfacedkillah is correct, then I will be the first to recognise that he is ITK.

If he is wrong then floating such nonsense deserves an appropriate punishment.

It's impossible to underestimate the importance of this guy. If we have Barry playing alongside Yaya tonight I am shitting a brick. Not that Barry was bad, but Fernandinho is just better and better suited to us. With Fernandinho in, we are too good for Chelsea and we'll win the midfield battle, which means we'll win the game.

Barry's at Everton.

What?

Now I finished by cup of tea and read the tea leaves - they say he's deffo playing. If for any reason the tea leaves are wrong (they never are} then Milner will step in and do a fantastic job peeps.... And relax and breath in and breath out slowly and chill :-D .... 3-1 win for City

Fernandinho is vital for Yaya to play his game and that is what worries me with his potential absence.

Kun, Nasri and Fernandinho have been in our top 5 players this season in my opinion, missing all three would be an absolute nightmare.

Have you ever cast your gaze upon an impending City game without a sense of overwhelming doom?

Cool your jets sam , Fernan's fine.

I hope that's made you feel a little more positive.

I have in the pre match thread for this game, but soon as this rumour came out I went back to my doom mode.

I do fear for us without Fernandinho and Sergio.

Let's see if it's true first :-)

I find sams pessimism somewhat reassuring these days......I realise that it's just part of the natural order of things and a portent that all will be well.

You're funny Sam.

If there's any truth to this rumour the club are being very secretive about it. It's unusual for SSN to be putting out incorrect team news 2 hours before kick-off and they're saying Garcia, Aguero and Nasri are the only players unavailable.

First place I saw it was on another forum last night.

Liverpool fan came on late on, posted in the City thread, that his physio mate at City said Fernandinho is 99% out

The first place I saw it on twitter was about an hour ago

he reckons Ferna got injured today in training

I reckon it's bollocks

We trained in the stadium yesterday, someone would have seen

fucking hell pal I am so glad I don't sit next to you at the games, I couldn't fucking cope with you

Ok so i am a little interested now in this injury story.
Of course it could be wumming but a blue on here (join date 2005) reckons he is injured and this dipper fella to ?.

I hope it is bullshit as he is bloody vital to us imo.

As others have said, possibly out tonight , injured in training

-- Mon Feb 03, 2014 6:20 pm --

Do we even train game days? It would of got out ealier if it was yesterday

I doubt they did any training today but the OS shows that they were training yesterday at the stadium and Fenandinho was pictured training. I'd have thought if he was injured word would have got out and perhaps the OS would have had the sense to pull their article entitled "Fernandinho feeling good ahead of Chelsea" in which he previews the game :-)
