I would say that he is more important than any of our other players. Who else can nullify the opposition like Fernandinho and then turn it into an immediate counter attack? He has settled in brilliantly and he is the vital piece of our side. We have coped without Kompany because we have good defenders. Fernandinho allows our players to play with freedom, he enables our full backs to get forward by covering the space they leave, he allows Yaya to push further forward when requires and he is full throttle for the entire 90mins. He makes sure that the opposition do not get any time on the ball.
