We have 3 players that are irreplaceable Kompany, Toure and fernandinho. Now we've lost fernandinho for a month. We should have 3 league matches without him, I don't think we can afford to drop any points in those 3 matches or else kiss the league goodbye.

The worry is we've lost both league matches he's missed.

I won't slate the club for not paying for Fernando if Porto were asking as much as reported, but if Fernandinho is really out 4 weeks it's unbelievable we didn't at least bring in someone who could play the position at a passable level untill he returned to fitness.

This along with a quality Centre half should have been addressed last summer. Ah well onwards and upwards what will be will be!! The next six games in the league are all winnable as long as we have the right attitude. On a positive note Jovetic did well tonight when he came on.

So many conflicting reports. First the match commentary said he was fine and could be out for a week, then we got 3-4 weeks, now 1 month out

Yep. We stood still after winning the league and look where that got us. When you are top you do everything to stay top. We finally climbed to the top of the table and have stood still in Jan and now have gaping holes in key positions in our squad.

If as reported Porto in effect wanted 15 m for a 4 month loan we couldn't possibly have done the Fernando deal.
