Fernandinho

My favourite player and somebody who's game has suffered the most of anybody due to Pellegrini's ridiculous decisions. He's capable of offering much more to the team but has to cover for Yaya's refusal to put any effort in. He'll prove just how valuable he is to the team just as soon as we get a manager in that knows how to use him correctly.

Absolutely love him. He's up there with with Zabs in likeability & his contributions equal that. Alongside Kun, he's probably the only player who can hold his head high after this season despite the rough early start after the World Cup.

I think a problem with Man City is that they offer the majority of their 'older' players long term contracts on high wages, so they get too comfortable and not pulling the finger out. Fernandinho is a recent example.

Summed up nicely by a Secret Footballer here - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/the-secret-footballer/24491/gus-poyet-and-manuel-pellegrini-united-in-the-grip-of-non-performing-players/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/arti ... g-players/</a>

What I really love from Fernandinho is the fact he always show CHARACTER and some personallity...

Actually the stuff we were lacking of almost all this campaign...
Someone brave enough to stand up the captain and not be bullied by him as well. We need more lads like him!

One of the things that cemented my views on Pellers this season is his treatment of Fern. How he can leave the guy out on a consistent basis is way beyond my understanding. For me, if fit he should be one of the first names on the team sheet. He has had some blips early season as part of a World Cup hangover but he has never given anything other than 100% for us. If he was played more regularly I think he could well have been our player of the season.

Whoever he works for, he's talking shit.

World class today IMO. All over the pitch constantly, putting challenges in and brilliant in possession too showing a good range of passing and touches of utter class. Showed real desire. Hopefully he'll be back on form like this next season
