DAMN you Porto! Just give us our Octopus, we need our ink!

Surely he would have sorted all this out long ago when he agreed terms with us (assuming he has ?), fee said to be agreed between the clubs (or is it ?). Something is not right with this dragging on as it is.

He wants to leave, that we can tell. Porto wants their cash, we can pay. Why are they making it hard for everyone?

i keep wondering if the double swoop with Mangala is still an option, if so then maybe this is the hold up. If there is any truth in the 3rd party ownership then you can imagine this taking some sorting out to keep all parties happy.

I think the hold up is between Porto and Fernando Im assuming they don't want to pay him his loyalty fee and he will demand it cause as far as I know he hasn't come out and said that he wants to leave.

Maybe they are hoping someone else will come in and offer more money?

So according to that supposed ITK information the hold up is between player and Porto not us. It can only be over the value of his loyalty bonus. His agent best get a move on then.

I'd be surprised if the delay wasn't connected to an ongoing attempt to sign Mangala. It doesn't take much to surprise me on here TBF.

Love the idea of mangala talks but it's around Porto and Fernando, i think

I think we have moved on from Mangala, the player doesn't fancy the move to us and Porto want 40m euros for him when he isn't even a regular for France, 40m is far too much for what is potential and for me personally I think there is better on the market for better value.

I reckon Porto want the fee for Fernando in full wheras we are only willing to pay installments.

Not what the mail are saying in the Jovetic thread, they say deal between us and Porto done, problems between player and Porto.

Guys, below is part of the report I just posted on the Jovetic thread......as it mentioned Fernando deal, wanted to copy it here.......

Meanwhile, City are understood to be relaxed over the delay in completing a £14.5m deal for FC Porto midfielder Fernando.

The 26-year-old player has returned to Brazil while his representatives finalise the terms of his departure from Porto, but City are comfortable that their end of the deal has already been agreed.

The Premier League champions expect Samir Nasri to sign a new contract when he returns for pre-season training after agreeing terms with the Frenchman.

Well, he has more than enough justification to demand his loyalty fee. Besides the fact he never handed in a transfer request, he also signed a new contract with Porto when we could have got him for free, thereby helping Porto to get this 15million from us.So they cannot claim he was not loyal..

Just waiting for him to sign with us. Hoping he will be as good as everyone says he is :)

He was forced to sign because he wanted to play WC and you csnnot make that squad if you play with reserves... No he doesnt help them at all, thats why he cut his holiday short, to leave. The situation has been taken care of poorly by Porto. Not ok
