Formed in 2008! No history!

The no history comments don't bother me in the slightest, in fact I actively seek them, as it just shows how bitter the person is that said it, especially if they are a rag.

That shower had a banner they'd update every year just to show us we were history, now we've ripped it down we've lost that history? Makes so sense, it's clear bitterness.
But I thought we were the bitters? ;-)

A rag was banging on about this the other day.

I pointed out if we have only "existed" since the takeover, then United haven't won the league in the last half of our history.
He wheeled the empty seats at Wembley jibe - when was he last at Wembley? Never - "cos it's too expensive" - so it's ok for him not to go to countless meaningful games at Wembley because he is skint, but when City fans can't afford to go for a glorified friendly it's different. They are getting more like their contradictory manager every single week.

When dealing with any Liverpool "supporter" if they come out with any shit like this I always ask them, who won a European Trophy first, Liverpool or City?
And did you know that City won the FA cup for the first time 61 years before Liverpool
Tell them we were formed 8 years before Utd whereas they are Everton's illegitimate offspring/afterbirth

Prior to 1970 we’d won more individual trophies than United if my maths serves me correctly. History all depends on which period you want to look at.
I’m sure Preston fans could argue their history is more impressive if you go back far enough. Prior to 1950, United has only won the title twice and Sunderland had won it six times but the unsophisticated football fan would no doubt say that Sunderland had no history if they suddenly came into money and started winning again.
Personally, I like the present.
When jealous individuals have a ho at me I just smile and start whistling the ‘champione’ tune. Winds ‘em up a treat !

Their recent history started in 93.

Takeaway the trophies Fergie won, and they were hardly trophy hoaders, with the exception of winning the European Cup.

They went 26 years without winning the title. 67-93

7 titles before Fergie. 13 titles under Fergie.

If they don’t win the title this season, it will be 6 years since they last won it.

But according to them, they’ve always been a big club from their inception. And their history and fame goes back to their beginnings. When in reality we know the Busby era, the Munich plane crash, and winning the European Cup was the trigger for their support and fame.

We all know what put them on the map and made the club they are then Fergie came along then sky to broadcast there brand all around the world.

We arrived into Heathrow last week on the day of my sons birthday. At passport control we were met by a friendly, smiling chap who bid us a good morning and asked us where we had arrived from (Dubai). All nice and friendly until he got to my sons passport. He looked at the screen and then looked up at my son and said happy birthday, my son (who was wearing a city training shirt) said thanks and the following is word for word what Mr passport man said.."looks like you were born 3 years before your club were formed. Did you go to Dubai to watch a home game, that's where most of your fans are from isn't it."

I don't do banter, haven't got the temperament, wit or patience for it, I end up wanting to tell people to f**k off. As it was passport control I thought it would be better to keep my mouth shut and move on. I was absolutely fuming though.

I would have mentioned something along the lines of not being surprised coming across a smarmy rag at London’s Heathrow, doesn’t happen at Manchester you know.

Does anyone else ever get sick to the back teeth of this nonsense always thrown in our direction? Probably in a lot of circumstances by “fans” who have never been to Old Trafford!!
Could someone please draw up an in your face fact sheet for referral when needed! Lol

It's the script they want to believe. They know the facts, they just want the facts to disappear, along with The Good Sheikh's loot and Guardiola's presence! Their 'entitlement' has taken a serious battering over the last ten seasons, and their 'predictions' re the Sheikh have fallen one by one, but they cling on in palpable desperation.
