FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

I would have played Kluivert over Wood, but I get it, the out of nowhere pain and all.

Wissa came through again for me.
Possibly but it's a marginal call.

Have you noticed the defender I brought in? I can't believe I went there again.

Took a -4 which I needed to get 11 out in gw29 but should hopefully get a green arrow now, maybe a decent one if Bowen can get a return tomorrow night.

LOL, no I missed that! Count me out for him. Last week's Wolves clean sheet sure can lure them in, huh? ;-)

I saw Bowen and stopped there. I probably should have done the same as you with Bowen, but I moved too early on Dango to catch a price rise before I saw Evanilson back on the bench. Lesson there.

At least we missed Rogers coming back to life again, but I too need a team for GW29 and the double blank was enough.

Yeah, that's a good call. My arrow for now is green on 68 with Dango getting unchained from the bench. I won all my Cups except for the AssMan opponent who had Glasner - I'd have won if they didn't have that chip for the 3rd week, but thems the breaks.

It's not so much getting lured in by a previous GW score, that doesn't bother me.

More the fact that they have the best fixtures between 27 and 30 for anyone on a WC in 31 like me.

Three home games out of four, and they don't play anyone in the top eight.

It seemed like the sensible thing to do. And then you realise you've been here before :(

45 so back to being crap after a few good weeks.

First 2 subs got 11 between them so again poor team selection.

Next game week looks decent for me then will use wildcard the week after, which will be useful as will have quite a few with a blank

I hear you. 47 pts this past week. Red arrows as far as the eye can see. And not an RAF plane in sight.

61 for me. OK vs the average but 1st 2 subs had 18pts. Not sure what i was thinking picking my team.

Struggling to get my head round the assman chip. I'm overthinking the table bonus. It's just too hard to pick those winners.

Can anyone shed light on the blank game weeks and possibly dble game weeks coming up.

Nothing on the app yet.
They're coming, but a lot of it is TBD until the FA Cup QF happens on 29 Mar in between GW29 and GW30.

The odds are 96% on City and Villa having a DGW, given if either wins, it's happening. Villa especially will be strong favourites to advance, but it will only take 1 given both play each other in GW34 as is scheduled now.

Lots of the placement will depend on which teams in the other 3 matches advances and which teams are still playing in Europe (both UCL and Europa).

Newcastle and Crystal Palace have their DGW in GW32 and there's good odds that most DGWs from the FA Cup SF will go to DGW33, but GW36 is also a potential. GW34 is likely for the next blank between the FA Cup semi teams.

Bottom line, unless you really need to, don't make too many plans now before the QFs are played on 29 Mar to get the results of who blanks and doubles. The when of each can still be announced by EPL at a later date, so banking transfers, a WC, and a FH if you are able to will be useful things.

Here's some odds for the FA Cup SF participant potentials to impact GW34 blanks:

I’ve got a free hit and a bench boost. Let me know best weeks to play them.

Future me certainly will! ;-)

It sounds semi-crazy, but part of it will be based on your current team in combination with what happens as noted. If you can get past GW29 with that FH not used yet, there appear to be plenty of times to play it later on.

Before anyone jumps down my throat or says "Just avoid the thread"...

Just curious, What is it so appealing to play Fantasy Football? Just trying to understand why people play it.

Obviously people are different and like different things in life, It's one game in particular that I just don't get why people play it...

It's massive and literally everyone plays it so there's obviously something incredibly good about it that gets people attention.

I don't understand people celebrating or even a low key celebration when a goal is scored in whatever game saying "Yes, I have him in my Fantasy Team"...Unless you're in with a chance of winning a shit load of money playing for cash with your mates.
