Fulham Post-Match Reaction

JUst seen the post match Mancini interview. He ain't sounding positive at all is he? Again we hear:
Tired, playing every 3 days( I think they, the players will all believe him now if they didn't the first 100 times)

This is football about conceding the goal, mistakes is normal.

With 3 strikers like that it should be more like against Aris!! I am sure I have some of the words and context wrongwrong .I hope to hell I do anyway because if he thinks like that he is deluded.Aris were a pub side and there aint any of those in the prem.

WE have only 14 players! Shame so many are on loan then who could have helped but what does that do for the motivation of those still with us. SWP,M Johnson,Assulin,Guidetti,Razak

I don't know what's happened with Vinnie! Strange thing to say. Of course he knows.

He just sounded really really down to me.
I'm sure he is down. His public speaking isn't the best. And I don't like the way he concedes to the tiredness argument. It's one thing for fans to worry about players not being at their best, but the manager should not give a player an excuse before he crosses the white line.

But I have seen Wenger and all the top managers react negatively at times. They are human. Some of them don't even give interviews

I can see City taking the Martin O'Neil and Aston Villa option in Europe or the FA Cup. I think they will get stick for it, but time for the manager to make a brave decision and protect his best players

Some fans criticised City in the transfer window in January for letting too many players go, and for not strengthening. In hindsight they were right

Who sent them on Loan ! Its all Mancini`s fault.

Anyway, I would rather play with two wingers one striker ( Bellamy,Weiss & Tevez) instead of the three strikers like what we did today with ( Dzeko,Balo & Tevez)

Thank fuck you're not the manager then. If we had a forward 3 of Weiss, Bellamy and Tevez we wouldn't be 3rd in the league I guarantee you that. We missed silva badly today and without de Jong the big yaya can't play as attacking.

And after that? As I said, I was watching the game today and, it has to be said, it was hard work to get worked up by anything else in the game. It seemed that we were happy to go 1 up and then try to defend the lead. They (yep; them again!) always say the best way to defend a 1 goal lead is to make it a 2 goal lead! Maybe if AK had squared the ball instead of shooting, this conversation wouldn't be taking place. But he didn't. And after that we seemed to shrink back inside our shell. That makes it hard for supporters to build up any atmosphere. Plus, I think it was our lowest league crowd of the season which, coupled with the absence of any significant presence of away support, would make for a subdued (dead?) atmosphere.

All those are a factor but the fact of the matter is the seemingly majority of our fans sit in silence when things are going well, yet erupt into angry, moaning nobs as soon as it's not going our way. Probably don't pick that up on your stream though....

It's nonsense to say that just because Nigel wasn't playing Yaya cant play as attacking. If Mancini wants him to attack he will attack. It's that simple. How many defensive minded players do you need a against a team with one of the worst away records in the league. With Yaya we had 3! And when Dzeko went off we had 4!

What does SWP have to do to get a chance? He came on at the rags and did well and always looks lively. Today was perfect for him to come on and try something different to break through. Instead we persisted with chipping the ball forward for Hangeland to head clear.

It was a seriously shit performance all-round.

OMG!

You've finally agreed with me...

I'm going for a sit down... ;-))

horrible first half

nothing really happened until they took out dzeko and moved tevez upfront

its really hard to play all three upfront, dzeko, tevez and balo

I was over for the B/burn, Villa and B/pool games and yes; it has to be said that the ground can be pretty quiet, even if we are winning. Is it down to the all-seating arrangement? Possibly, but that's an argument for another thread. By the way, I would get over more often but it can work out expensive (€200-300 per game all-in).

I couldn't tell you to be honest, don't think the lack of atmosphere issue is specific just to us but it is frustrating listening to some of the idiots at our ground. If someone wants to sit in silence fine, that's there choice but if they're gonna do it when we are winning they should do everyone a favour and do it when we are losing too. There's a guy who sits behind me, can honestly say for the last 7 home games (all wins) I haven't heard him, as soon as we are behind today he was on his feet slaggging off all and sundry. If we don't win, they are getting booed no matter what the score of performance is like and that's not good.

Oh we've not won it yet my friend, taking it one game at a time.

If i was Fred fucking Done i'd be willing to pay out right now!

You have walked it again and this season of all seasons you should have been way off the
pace, especially looking at your away form.

I agree. I think this is one of the worst United sides I have seen for 18/20 years and I still have my doubts that we'll go on to win it. What is most striking is that this is the best city team in 20-30 years and they get booed off. The majority of your fans deserve success, the rest don't.

Ok let's put 10 attacking players on and see what happens, if you are playing with 2 full backs who are effectively wing backs you need those midfielders to stop them breaking and scoring against us. If only it was as simple as you seem to think being a football manager would be easy.

That's fucking rich!

You've dominated football for the past 20 years, the number of bad performances at OT you can count on a couple of hands... yet whenever it does happen you too are routinely booed off.

Oh, and the messageboards are full of whining rags demanding Fergie's head as "he's too old now".

So don't come on here all pompous about fans reactions.

I remember last game of the season about 4 years ago at OT, Chelsea beat you on the night having already won the league, with the rags runners up.

Your team did a lap of honour to an empty stadium!

So don't tell us about how to back our team.
