--Maicon-Rodwell-Yaya-Silva-Clichy--
----------------------Dzeko--------------------

Subs: Wright, Barry, Milner, Nastasic Aguero Tevez Sinclair

I don't give a flying !*!*! about our recent reputation for playing open & attacking football... We simply have to be more solid than in recent weeks, and if that means upsetting the Fulham fans - and more particularly the TV companies - by boring them wit-less, then so be it.

I would therefore go into the game with a solid 4-5-1 formation, reminding Zabba and Alex that, as full-backs, their main job is to stay in their own half and basically stop their opposing wide-men getting crosses in... rather than habitually bombing forward, at every opportunity.... thus leaving gaping holes in wide areas, at the back, for our opponents (vis-a-vis Agbonlahor) to continuously exploit.

I would play Maicon in a wide midfield role, - A lot less running to do, in terms of getting up and down the pitch, will hopefully mean he can get forward more quickly and be at his most effective. - Rodwell & Yaya in centre-midd to add strength & stability, along with the creativity of Silva, leaving Clichy to balance. up the width on the left side.... and tuck in (along with Maicon) when Fulham are attacking

Result: Fulham 0 -1 CITY (Dzeko)

I can't see us winning this, not being negative just that Fulham are strong at home and we have not yet got going, this is a big week for City we need some results from the next 3 games.

1 - 1 Kun

We need to tighten up defensively but doesn't mean that we should set our stall out to play defensively.

We're not the type of team suited to going away and nicking a 1-0 win. Last season we lost more games 1-0 than we won by that score.

The teams that specialised in those results (Leeds in the 60/70's, Arsenal under Graham) always gave you the impression that the longer the game stayed scoreless, the more likely they were to win it. With City that applies at home but its the opposite when it comes to away games. We saw at Sunderland, Everton, Swansea & Arsenal that opponents gain confidence if they're in the game after an hour.

We should cut out the silly mistakes but take the game to Fulham as we did when we won 4-1 there.

Really? Garcia doesn't even get forward that much. He is the one covering Yaya and sitting in front of the defence like De Jong. And he is almost like a 3rd CB sometimes.
