Funniest/wittiest replies to a question

You’re probably correct. They don’t really do education in that part of the world. Based on the guys vacant expression and personality, he was probably still trying to figure out what the on/off switch for his computer looked like.
Maybe he just thought you were an unfunny **** :)

When you look at the cabinet crew on the overseas flights do you sometimes think you are in a remake of the film Cocoon? :-)
It’s true that in a seniority based system, the desirable international routes often have some of the more experienced cabin crew. However, I don’t go to work looking for “trolley dollies”!

Rather, I need my interactions with them to be high level competence, which is more often found in the more seasoned crew.

My primary interactions are meals, cockpit security during crew relief, and as my eyes and ears in the cabin…which is esp important during a medical or mechanical emergency.

That’s not to say that our senior international flights don’t have younger, less senior cabin crew as well. In fact, most of the language-qualified crew members are more junior, but their language skills allow them to bid for one of the language-qualified positions.

All that said, I get your point. There are many airlines across the globe that do not operate on a union-rule seniority system or have to comply with equality laws during hiring or rostering. That might be good for the airlines, but I’d wager it’s not nearly as good for the enjoyment of a career Flight Attendant.

I flew recently from Houston to Tokyo on utd. When I got on the plane there was this pensioner organising every one, pushing and shoving. Only when he reappeared about 40 mins after take off pushing a trolly did I realise he was cabin crew.

10-12 years ago a lad hadn’t turned in for work, so I called him to see where he was

His reply was ‘I’m sick’

To which I asked ‘how sick’

He said ‘I’m in bed with my sister’ then hung up

Safe to say nobody cared why he was off after the belting answer he gave

I had a paper round when I was about 13 years old. One of the deliveries I had to make was to a betting shop on Palatine Road in Northenden. Every time I dropped the paper off the guy behind the counter always said "thanks son". It was in the winter so used to wear the green parka with fur around the hood.
One day I went in as usual gave him the paper and he said his usual "thanks son". I unzipped my parka, pulled it open, I had on a skinny rib jumper, which perfectly showed the outline of my tits. I responded to him by saying "what you gonna call me now?" To be fair to him I did have short hair.
