If you paid attention instead of just jumping in it was about who is currently on form goal scoring, this is not an either or discussion about the 2,they bring different things but for a striker it's also about scoring, this season he appears to have stalled in that dept

No Karen, I have just read your second post and you have assumed I have aimed this at you, to which you "jumped in"

Indeed you are...

The fact that he is just under 1 in 2 in his time at city, both domestically and internationally, at 21, with 16 of his appearances coming from the bench should enlighten you. We’ve lost once, just the once, in the prem when he’s started/come off the bench, (49 games in total)... his movement, as you stated but underplay, is exceptional and improving.....

You want to know what Tevez would of been like in a Pep side then keep watching the lad, an outstanding talent, who like all strikers, is going through a barren spell, the difference being it should be fully expected given his limited game time this season....

His ceiling is as high as any player we’ve had in the mansour era, yet the clamour to shoot from the firing squad, without taking the blinkers off, still exists from a good proportion of our fan base....

He will never get to the level Tevez was at for us. Tevez imo is the 2nd best striker I have seen for us behind Aguero in my 30years watching City.
As for ceilings, I think sterling / Bernardo / Foden all have a higher ceiling, Leroy Sane ceiling is twice that of Jesus and he has true potential to be the worlds best in 5 years. Just don’t see it with Jesus, hope I’m wrong.

Uncle Zin with the heat!

Not sure why posters get so precious over a difference of opinion , Jesus has made zero progress since joining the club , he has had a couple of injuries which has slowed his progress , but he is not improving , at 21 time is on his side and if he is Brazils first choice number 9 , he isnt too shabby. But god forbid if Aguero suffered a long term injury , because for all Jesus's excellent work and selfless running for the team , we signed him to score goals , and hes isnt converting his chances at the moment. Any striker relies on goals to bring them confidence ,so would love him to score a couple and see the return of the Jesus we signed from Palmeiras , he was full of confidence and sharp as a knife when he arrived , just hope he isnt waiting until Easter to resurrect his career it could too late because the title will be in the bag :)

love watching this lad play and while a lot of people believe a striker is judged on goals ` a stick i use on Rashford and his 4 goals this year` i do not believe that is how Pep sees it, pretty sure Pep sees everyone's job is to create and score, otherwise he would have bought Kane or Aubameyang both score goals but nothing else
