You reckon he'll go to Zenit?

That's crazy.

Small possibility he would go on loan if he knows he's not going to be in the Champions League squad

Must realise won't be in CL squad, nor prem squad just leaves domestic cups. Unfortunate, but he has to go somewhere he will get the same dosh and playing time, whether that be Zenit or elsewhere, sounds callous but that is the situation.

Loads of Europeans go to Russia, the money's good for starters.

I'd expect a proper fee from them.

Yes, the story says his wages would stay the same.

Zenit have Portuguese coach AVB and well known players like Witsel, Garay, Hulk, Arshavin, Danny and Kerzhakov.

Only things that could be brought into question are the issues with Russia right now and Garcia's WAG maybe not fancying it, but St. Petersburg is a nice place.

AVB is probably still highly respected by those who played in the Portuguese league I'd imagine

South American footballers and lesser known European players might go to Zenit. I doubt you'll find many Premiership footballers who would, especially footballers who play for the Champions

I can see a loan deal. That's it

What would that have to do with whether it would be a loan deal or not?

3 or 4 sources on Twitter are saying there is a 3m difference in valuation between city and zenit.......

City trying to get their money back what we paid for Benfica which is £15.8m.

Lets say we get 12m add that to the Rodwell fee and the one received for Barry ...... if Mangala signs for 29m what is our net spend ?

£22.6m.

and with Richards sinclair or Guidetti still to go..after that our net spend could be 10M incredible

I wouldn't mind 12 mill + the rest in addons, but Txiki has surprised us. More to follow?

Anything over 8m would be fantastic imo,so talk of 12-15 is mindblowing.

Surely with such a net spend we aren't finished in the market?

What about Isco? We can probably afford him and Mangala once we sell Garcia.

We can't bring any more foreign players in unless we sell more foreign players though and I don't see any homegrown players improving us.

I think we will try and get our net spend as low as possible giving us a decent kitty to work with next summer.

You never know if a projected net spend this summer was part of breaking even this season.

I think our squad is ready to go once Mangala comes in.

I somehow still think Chelski are a bit ahead of us in this selling malarkey - they get top dollar for mediocre players

I'm struggling to think of which position we need to strengthen. If Mangala ends up being class, this is the first season I feel like we have a strong team with quality depth in all 11 positions.

Got a feeling we'll be trying to get that deal done on our terms.
Jovetic's good form gives us a stronger hand to play.
