Gareth Bale

Tbf the reason why we have been poor this season is due to dzeko not being so clinical infront of goal. Higuain would have made the difference and instead of drawing/losing games we would have won them. Higuain would be the better buy if you ask me with a more sensible price tag.

I wouldn't mind Higuain too. As we saw last year when he is in good form he is one heck of a player. More talented Argentians won't be rejected!

I can't see bale going abroad. He's a new father recently and it would be massive lifestyle change at this important time of his life.

He also signed a deal with BT to be a pundit for them: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2299279/Gareth-Bale-signs-year-deal-BT-pundit-advert-star.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -star.html</a> (but maybe it has a get-out clause?)

Must be wary of United if Spurs do fail to reach top four, Gill has said they will invest heavily this summer. Ferguson never stands still and makes the same mistake we did last summer. I don't like to think of Bale at United considering they have pissed the league with their wingers being awful this season.

Where the fudge are we gonna get 80 million quid from???

I dont think getting it is the issue, its being allowed to spend the fucker.

Probably a better way of putiin it. Everyone keeps bangin on about spendin big this summer but i can't see how that's possible under these UEFA sanctions.

We'd have to sell very well and early in order to grab any 'game changing' players.

In order to remain competitive and realistically aim for another title and in 2 or 3 years a CL final then we simply have to spend big. Our current squad has shown it is not strong enough to challenge in Europe for whatever reason, and one player has strengthened our league rivals to such an extent we never threatened to defend our title.

If we don't spend money on the kind of players Chelsea, Utd and in Europe Bayern and Real, etc are after then we may as well settle for mediocrity. We cannot allow Platini's half-arsed, unfair rule hold us back or what the hell did we get this close for? One title, one (hopefully two) cups then back in our box and be happy with top 4? Or carry on building the dream and finish what we started when we got Silva, Yaya, Kun & co? Fucking hell, we need to go balls out for one of Bale, Falcao, Cavani, Ronaldo... plus at least one top class midfielder and some goddamn pace in attack. Or it's 0-1 at Sunderland and Everton and 0-0 at Stoke for the next few seasons.

I have a bad feeling that Bale would be heading to the rags in the summer if;
1) Spurs don't get CL,
2) Real doesn't bid for him, and
3) Nani leaves the rags.

personally i'd break the bank to get this guy, he's the most frightening player in the league, in 3 years he'll be around ronaldos level.

do it city!

All the Rags I have spoken to have been banging on about the return of Ronaldo and they all seem to think Nike will be paying his wages.

Surely Nike will want City to be in for a major signing for there shiny new kits.

Being a blue I always have hope, more realistic these days though.
