Seeing as this thread has turned into a whinge.....
Since when has OT been in Salford? Can't get my head round half wits on here who continually make this claim. The rags have never ever played in Salford and as a Salford blue, like many others on here, it gets on our thre'pennies. And if bombing Salford was hilarious then you obviously find the bombing of Manchester funny as well bearing in mind it happened at the same time!

I think you'll find it's all the out-of-towners who haven't got a clue as to the difference between Salford and Trafford.

Clueless.

It's an embarrassment reading City fans having a dig at the Rags for playing in Salford.

Bollocks, I'm born and bred 2 minutes away from Old Trafford. The reason they call it Salford, is because it is in the Diocese of Salford and also because Trafford Council have being trying to throw Clifford to Salford borough for ages.

Salford is a city. Just the same as Manchester.

Trafford is a borough, within what was formerly known as Greater Manchester.

They are different places. Different Councils. Different.

Having lived in the Manchester area most of my life (and having worked at Trafford Borough Council), trust me when I tell you that Old Trafford is most definitely NOT in Salford.

And anyone who thinks that is clueless.

The diocese of Salford is a catholic diocese. Catholic churches in Manchester come under this as well. There are places in Holland 2 mins from the German border, do you think they want to be lumped into Germany. Get real ffs and have a modicum of intelligence.

Haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if it's been mentioned but.....

Sven Goran Ericson DID EXACTLY THE SAME THING, ON CAMERA, IN HIS INAUGURAL PRESS CONFERENCE, and people marched around the ground trying to save his arse.

A little perspective blues. Let's have a fookin good time today and get behind the team.
and didn't robbie say he was glad to be at chelsea
and wouldn't want him sacked either, people make mistakes

Adebayor was interviewed by Radio Manchester today and was asked who he thought could challenge for the top four.

His reply?
And I quote-
Erm, Liverpool, Man. City, Arsenal, MANCHESTER!!! and Chelsea.

I want his fookin head, on a plate!
Sack him, deport him, cut him into little pieces and send him piece by piece to the African Nations Cup. Just get him out of my sight. I'll NEVER EVER forgive him. Boo Hoo!

That should be good for another thirty pages.

To be honest who really gives a flying Fcuk about a slip of the tongue, this thread has confirmed to me that there are some City fans who hate the Rags more than they love City!

It's about time some City fans ended their obsession with the Rags! I don't care what happens to them or what they win or lose I care about City the club I have supported all these years

Did you even read what I put?

I didn't say that OT was in Salford, I said people use it as a wind up because:

a) Trafford Council has been trying to put Clifford in a separate borough for ages - <a class="postlink" href="http://archive.thisistrafford.co.uk/2005/11/7/18107.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://archive.thisistrafford.co.uk/200 ... 18107.html</a>

b) It's in a Diocese called Salford Diocese.

I never said these people are clever, I said that's some of the reasons why they call it Salford.
