Gas prices cannot be tied to inflation. Gas is a commodity that has to be imported and the price of importing it has gone up by nearly 500% in a year. The prediction for next year is wholesale gas will be 600% to 800% more expensive than 2021, it is simply impossible to increase prices in line with inflation or every energy supplier will go bust.The political paralysis that this shithouse government have caused will not be forgotten as Boris has had his foreign holidays whilst Truss and Sunak are poncing around the country offering nothing to put peoples minds at ease.There is a simple solution, Ofgem and the government should just say fuck off the prices are not going up more than the rate of inflation

Fully agreed mate. I grew up not fond of the police to put it lightly. Look at what came out in the news today...a police officer holding the gunshot wound of that little Liverpool girl, trying desperately to keep her alive in the back of that police car. Imagine reliving THAT everyday for the rest of your life.
I know that is an extreme example, but try living with seeing a colleague punched in the face so hard it broke her cheekbone, a heavily pregnant colleague who was informed she would have her throat cut and multiple stand offs between security guards and people who are either mentally ill or just nasty horrible bastards.
We understand why our pay is low...we don't produce "profits" in the way most people measure that. However, please don't lecture me that we don't deserve to be able to negotiate for more pay or, indeed, strike.
