Gas & Electricity

Brother in law was told his resin drive had to come up so his next door neighbour could have a car charging point.
He told them to fuck off.
They could force the issue but would have to go to court to get a wayleave to do so.

Can his neighbour not fix a charging point to the outside of the house?

We can only hope that the substantially lower prices both currently and on the futures markets for gas will be passed onto the consumer.
Both Dutch Gas and UK Gas are back down to pre Ukraine war levels.

There is a lag before retail prices drop as we bought future gas when the market was at its peak, but prices will eventually drop.
I have a little chuckle when British politicians make claims like they will bring inflation down. The US federal reserve will make the decisions that decide such matters in the face of external pressures like the Ukraine war. British policy makes a tiny contribution at the margin. (Excepting bonkers Truss like policies. See Turkey: dropped its interest rates, inflation now 84%pa.)

I'll gladly take the news of fuel prices falling for now. Especially if it means households are in a better place this time next year.

I submitted my meter reading and discovered I have overpaid by over a grand. That means BG is earning interest on my money and I'm not. I wonder how much money they are holding of people like me. The whole thing stinks. I live on my own, work from an office and my DD is £327 a month. Feel like I have been done over
