Didn't know it was compulsory for employer to put in 3pc, whether employee joins or not ? Surely if you don't join and pay in yourself, you don't get the 3pc ? Also, those growth figs must be amazing to make 450k over 40 years !
That should be less of an issue in the future now its compulsory for the employer to contribute 3% regardless of if the employee contributes.

Even on minimum wage thats 690 per year and invested over 40yrs (85% in stock market and 15% in bonds) the median return would be just under 450k which is quite astonishing. Einstein even called compound interest the 8th wonder of the world.

Always think its a bit weird the news channels putting the SNP on the main news when it comes to GEs. They shouldn't really be on the national news as they arnt a national party. We don't get the same coverage of the political parties in NI ?
Main difference between Scotland and Northern Ireland in this context is that a Labour, lib-dems and the self servatives actively campaign in Scotland against the SNP, whereas neither the Lib-dems nor Labour stand, and the tories indulge in a bit of tokenism in some NI constituencies.
At the last General Election there was a Tory on the ballot, but ZERO effort in campaigning, no advertisements in local media, not even a leaflet delivered by the postman and as the candidate was from the Home Counties, it would be doubtful if he even knew the towns in the constituency he was standing in, never mind actually visiting it...indeed, I don't think he even came over for the result of the count.
Oh, and there have been a number of elections recently where it was close to the SNP being in position to form a coalition government.

If you're still sticking up for that slimy **** Starmer, you're an idiot.
Yeah, because Sunak’s not slimy in any way whatsoever!

Anyway, good to see normal service resumed and Sunak taking a twatting as he does every week from Starmer at PMQs. The wanking off over him in the previous debate was even more short-lived than Truss’s spell as PM. Starmer and Labour are far from perfect but they’re still infinitely better than this current incarnation of the Tory party.
