I love an election all-nighter it has to be said. Get stocked up in front of the telly from 10pm onwards and bring it on.

I might break the habit of a lifetime and give BBC1 a wide berth. Not sure I can stand a full night of Laura K without a high risk of hallucinations/nightmares.
Will have to hop between ITV, Sky or Channel 4 who look like they’ve got an interesting mix of on air talent lined up.

In fact I’m even sad enough to watch those occasional re-runs on BBC Parliament when they replay election night coverage from yesteryear.

Anyone else looking forward to it, or is it just me?
Yep if I was still working I'd have the Friday booked off. Like you I love an election night even if the last few have been rather depressing.

As it is I'll pop down to Lytham and listen to some of the festival outside on the sea wall (Shania Twain) weather permitting, get up the coast and crack a few beers with a takeaway and enjoy the evening/early morning..... probably get a kip about 03.00 or so and go again from 06.00.

Which channel will you be watching?

Not sure I will be watching. The excitement of the demise of the Tories has gone. I'm him now

Seems slightly odd that you are so invested on here then. There’s not much we can do to change anything. If it’s making you miserable, why not focus on something more positive for you?

More annoyed than miserable. I agree that we can't change much here, but you may as well close the whole politics section down then. It's nice to vent.

Absolutely. Had something in my diary for 5th which was booked in well before the election that I managed to square off a couple of days ago, and I’ve now booked the day off. Haven’t been as engaged with a GE in years, since 1997, and possibly even more than that, and I think it’s going to be epic!

Sky News and Channel 4 for me.
Booked Thursday and Friday off, hospital straight after voting for my biopsy on Thursday, home, feet up and enjoy the show then Friday afternoon over to the Lytham festival to see Kooks and Courteeners and celebrate the unfolding result and hopefully watching the tories get utterly decimated at the polls.

Bring it all on.
