My sons 19 and the amount of election leaflets he’s getting through the post is crazy, far more than me!

Had a really weird one from the conservatives today that was written from the perspective of him as an older person writing to his younger self. It’s the oddest written thing I’ve seen in a long while and their message is so confusing. They really are lost.

Our local Labour candidate wrote what can best be described as a begging letter to me saying please vote for me, I’m not a Tory. No actual policies for the constituency. Was very strange, noeffort.com

But normally no candidate sends owt to me but this time I’ve had all of them send me something. Except the greens. My gran used to tell them all (when they door knocked) to send her a car so she could get to the voting booth. Whoever got their first got her vote. It was a strategy.

I was once on the rota for taking little old ladies to vote. A couple of them took great delight, when I dropped them back, in pointing out that they'd actually "voted for the other lot" and off they went cackling happily to themselves.

I’m disappointed that due to boundary changes our new Labour candidate is a Momentum fruitcake.

I’ll be voting Lib Dem.

Not that it matters, safest of safe Labour constituency.
