Do you understand that inflation is cumulative?

or that when inflation goes down it does not mean prices go down?

Mortgages are at record levels for recent times (still) and inflation being down to 2.3% just means people are getting more broke more slowly.

Yes I did understand that of course I do. But inflation is a problem in all western countries. See my original post. No need for the over the top bolocks comment. The hole world is recovering from the impact of Covid, have you seen interest rates in the USA??
