Labour win because of a backlash by Conservative voters.

Labour will be in power with the lowest percentage of the popular vote ever by a single majority party.

Still in though, which is a lot better than having the tories stay in.

FPtP is a dire voting system but we have it so you take the victory despite the margins
Yes I agree that is what happens with our system. But the simple fact is that the electorate have not turned to Labour but have turned away from the Tory and SNP parties.
 
The Conservatives are going to have an interesting time. A new leader will be needed - the Braverman/Badenoch wing will drag them close to Reform, Hunt will pull them the other way probably.

The MPs have to look at how to resolve the challenge of Reform, as that should be the main goal.
Secondary might be how to head off the LibDems too.
