It's irrelevant in the context of people on here shouting "Resign Boris". Whether he has a majority of 1 or -1 makes zero difference.
So you're saying it has some relevance outside of BM then?
I'm not saying that them losing their majority is the end of their party but it is at least somewhat significant

When we are talking the odd seat here or there, whether the government has a majority or not, is a bit irrelevant to be honest.

The can continue to be the government for so long as they are either unchallenged or can survive a confidence vote. And in such a vote, who knows who the various waiverers would actually vote. Or how the Labour party would vote, for that matter.

Tell that to the EU leaders:

EU diplomat gets in touch as Boris Johnson loses majority woth defection of Philip Lee. "Now he has lost his majority it seems futile to continue discussions. We can’t be sure that whatever were to come out of it will ever translate into reality."

Does that include the Hallam MP?

No - I think i said the other day that there needs to be 10 - 15 tory rebels to be 100% that you can vote down the government. That covers the various anomalies and the 5 or 6 hardline brexit Lab MPs and others who you just cant trust.

The only way EU would be convinced to move on the WA is Johnson convincing them he can it through Parliament. It may be somewhat symbolic but officially losing your majority with one of your MPs crossing the floor mid speech isn’t convincing anyone.

This stuff writes itself

"This country stands for democracy and the rule of law," says Boris Johnson, who has just announced the suspension of parliament and threatens to ignore any new law passed by MPs.’@businessinsider
