General Videogame Thread

Yep I followed this track to I thought was a cave went in was grace and a massive area!

The area you have to cover just to get to that high plateau is unbelievable you got to down a long massive lift and it’s massive and hard to complete. 120+ hours in and reckon not half way through the game.
I went up a huge lift yesterday and opened up to a totally new area I didn’t know existed. Proper hard as well up there but some cracking challenges.

Well this'll be me more the rest of the day......

Just about the biggest possible gaming announcement has been made. For me, bigger than GTA6; bigger and more meaningful than anything. I'm actually in shock:

...and it's not just another cash-in; it's being led by Ron Gilbert. So it will be the proper third game in the series that should've been made 20-odd years ago.

The memories of playing monkey island. Hope they don’t go too cartoon inspired like the remakes

Did you know he also wrote 'The Foundations Of Geometry'? His work was a vital building block for 20th century physics.

Ohh, wait. That was David Hilbert. I must have been thinking of the ....

(wait for it....)

...."wrong hilbert"!

Cough.

1 month into Kerbal Space Program, I've pretty much lost interest in everything else. Eating, going out. Obsessed by space planes, I have managed 500 moon approaches, 0 successful landings.

I don't know which crashes more. My home made craft with far too many engines, or KSP.exe with far too many mods.

Hundreds of hours on KSP myself. 2 hopefully out this year.

Here's a nice vid they made after the final update.

And you'll nail the landing eventually. it's fun.

I can't express how made up I am for this. My favourite games of all time and now the original creator is back in charge.

That said curse was bloody awesome.

Never thought I’d see that. I used to absolutely love Monkey Island.

Playing 3 games at the moment. Doom Eternal Ancient Gods 1&2 after finishing the main game twice. I can’t wait for the next one. Elden Ring, just beat Margit and Ghostwire Tokyo. It’s intriguing. Not sure about it yet. And just finished Far Cry 6 which was a slog.
