Genuine, Genuine Question...

I do think my post was completely misunderstood by Pominoz, but having said that, if I thought what was being said was what he thought was being said, I'd tell me to Fuck Off too ;)

My point was actually about what we can do to ourselves inside our own heads by making negative comparisons. Negative mind talk is what we do 'to ourselves' and I gave examples of the kind of things we might say to ourselves.

I was not suggesting he had been given negative advice.

I was not invalidating anyone else's experience. There are some inspiring stories here and if they help Seosa all well and good.

I also know that when in a deep depression ( I have suffered with this for many years) it is very hard to hear how others might be worse off. When it's dark it's dark and sometimes it is all you can see. Being told 'don't worry mate there are others worse off' is not always of comfort.

I did grab the wrong end of the stick and i apologise.
We are all trying to help Seosa (in our own way) , that is all that matters in the end.

I've whelled up at a couple of things today and this thread just triggered it again, lol.

Tbh I think I should make a vow to never get angry at any fecker on this forum again after the responses to this thread, :)

Got a bit of good news though earlier. So far I've done 3 pieces of work (2 essays and a case study) at Uni of the 9 pieces due, and I got feedback for the 3rd today. Turns out I've now achieved a 2:1 and two 1sts, which I'm told is quite ridiculous for a first year student. Either way, I'm a bit more cheerful now, :)

Something was said earlier about the 7-Year Change theory, and I agree, I think there's something in that.

Again, I'll reiterate my thanks to everybody. It's actually been quite beautiful and touching to see people reach out. Even that ol' socialist nutjob Rasc, ;)

Well done mate. I could add to this thread but there's a lot that has already been said; a lot of common themes in people's lives I can relate with my own and possibly you can too.

These types of threads tend to crop up a couple of times a year on here (which gives you an indication that things are not perfect for anyone) and it's always fascinating to see other people's perspectives and how they deal with their own circumstances.

This one is probably the best one for you Seosa.

Just chill out for half an hour and have a listen and a read of this thread.

This one stands out. Tbf, all 3 videos are superb, and the man talks a lot of sense, a serious lot of sense.

Cheers Josh, :)
