Ridiculously talented man.McCartney was absolutely magnificent. A tremendous gig tonight after that shit show next door. 82 years old and doing 2.5 hr sets. Incredible.
Me too. It was brilliant wasn’t it. A really top class performance and show.Ridiculously talented man.
Fantastic gig. I took my eleven year old son who was mesmerised. Helped me get over the absolute shit show at the etihad.
Just got back from Paul Heaton really enjoyed it . I would like to go to see the chameleons IChameleons Saturday night, magnificent.
I'm dying to see what the CO-OP Live Arena is like so I might go to Paul Heaton/Lightning Seeds tonight even though they're not exactly favourites of mine.
I did think of going to the Slipknot gig on Wednesday but I've just played a few of their songs to see what they're like and I've never heard so much shit in my entire life.
They do it well though.Just back from the same gig. Paul Heaton, Lightning Seeds and The Zutons all fantastic, but I really detest arena gigs. I think that's me done with anything above a theatre sized gig.
Biggest irony of the night was The Zutons performing an Amy Winehouse cover (Back to Black).
She has. I thought the Zutons were good at Liverpool when I saw Heaton last week.I agree. First time I'd heard Abi sing on her own & she's got a cracking voice.

I’ve actually enjoyed all the Co-Op Live gigs I’ve been to - Liam Gallagher, The Killers, Kings Of Leon, and Paul Heaton on Monday night. Maybe it’s because I had standing tickets for all and the standing area is huge, not to mention that it’s a damn sight easier to get down into the standing area than it is at the AO. Also, the acoustics are fantastic. The only off putter are the beer prices!Just back from the same gig. Paul Heaton, Lightning Seeds and The Zutons all fantastic, but I really detest arena gigs. The Apollo’s good but Albert Hall is the best concert venue in town IMO. The Ritz is decent as wellGot to agree. Went to the Co-Op for the first time and thought it would be a massive improvement on the MEN. Spoiler - it's not. Smaller, nastier seats and really poor design decisions.
I'm only going back under protest and if we can get seats/standing at the front.
The Apollo is the perfect venue for me.
Yeah standing is better but the seats are too close together. Really uncomfortable.Got to agree. Went to the Co-Op for the first time and thought it would be a massive improvement on the MEN. Spoiler - it's not. Smaller, nastier seats and really poor design decisions.
