Locally brewed beers have a low carbon footprint
China have 23% of the world’s CO2 output but they have 21% of the world’s population. China are actually down in 43rd place for CO2 emissions per capita, and that’s gone down from 37th place in 2014.their C02 output hit a record output for the year ending March 2021 and that with covid of course and they currently emit more than all the developed countries combined and under the UN Convention will be seen as a developing nation for decades to come.
they are building coal fired power stations like they are going out of style and their carbon footprint will continue to sky rocket for decades to come while the EU , the UK , the US and countries like Australia lambast each other behind closed doors basically paying lip service to climate change while China gets dirtier and more powerful by the day.
Ask the state run press and the CCP and they will say covid didn't emanate in China and bodies like the UN and the WHO haven't the courage or the conviction to make them accountable.
The world wide approach to climate change will make a corrupt communist Government like China more powerful and the West weaker and whether we like it or not you need to emit a lot of CO2 to build your military spending to at least 5 per cent of your GDP and the West needs to do it in a hurry.
going green yes its a good thing but most people arent bothered. Take the school run, on school holidays i can get to work in 10 minutes, In school term its takes 30 minutes due to all the 4x4 doing the school run. Now if these school kids really cared about saving the planet why dont they cycle, walk or go on the bus ? Why let their parents drive them ?
In Cornwall the other week all the hippies etc driving around in old transit vans and campa vans chucking out loads of fumes.
Yet people think i should get rid of my diesel car which does 70mpg, go electric. If i go electric thats me stopping going to City games as the range wouldnt get me there, same with holidaying in Cornwall. plus i cant afford to but a new car.
I give up the two things i enjoy the most City and Cornwall, and than spend most of my days stuck in the school run. The main problem with going green you need to be mostly middle class to be able to afford to go green.
And how do these smart meters work ? I dont need a meter to tell me if i switch a light of my bill goes down its common sence. I really dont understand smart meters and i havent got one !
but most people arent bothered.
Are you really having a go at children here lol? It's not a child's responsibility to 'save the planet'. It's the adults who've got us into this mess. Now if these school kids really cared about saving the planet why dont they cycle, walk or go on the bus ?

You ain't seen nothing yet , their carbon footprint is well on the rise , nearly 1 billion in poverty and this is why they are building lots of coal fire power stations.Canada (7th), Australia (11th), USA (16th), Czechia (24th), Netherlands (27th), Germany (28th), Austria (34th), Belgium (35th), Ireland (36th), Poland (41st)… all emit more CO2 per person than China does. [UK are 60th]
You as an individual Aussie citizen emit more CO2 into the world (17.1 tonnes) than the average individual Chinese citizen (7.38 tonnes).
Despite emitting the most, they aren’t particularly the major problem per capita. It’s mainly the Middle East (7 of the top 16 CO2 emitters per capita) and North America and Australia (all in the top 16).
And in terms of their overall output; China recognise they are a problem, and they are doing a lot of things about it. Despite them still building coal powered fire stations, they are coming out with Green initiatives well ahead and far greater size and investment than most other counties. China’s aim is for their CO2 output to peak before 2030.
China are the number one polluter but they also recognise that fact and they are also one of the world’s leaders at innovating and looking to move to green energy and green solutions.
They mainly started looking at it from their air pollution figures (by the way, Manchester has topped the worst air pollution figures for the whole of Europe a few times and is always up in the top few places. The Green topic is not just about climate!). They found that 2m people a year were dying as a result of poor air quality in Chinese cities (17% of all Chinese deaths), and the problem of air pollution was costing China £500bn a year. This then lead to more investment in the field and they are even building entirely green cities now.

China will force regional grid firms to buy at least 40% of power from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030 in order to meet the country's climate targets, according to a new government document seen by Reuters.mobile.reuters.com
China is also a leader in investing in green initiatives worldwide. They invested US$31bn worldwide in 2019 alone.
They’re actually doing more around this than nearly everyone else in the world.
