Higuain won't leave Madrid, He is a fan favourite there.

Counts for little these days. No bigger fans favourites than Kun at Madrid, Torres at LFC, look at Modric with your boys, Fabregas etc.....

Kun Aguero - Far too good for Atletico, Was always going to leave
Liverpool - They were not going to fulfill his ambitions.
Modric - Again, Wants to win the league and CL
Fabregas - He wants to win stuff + he has an emotional attraction to Barca.

Higuain has everything he wants at Madrid, It's his dream club and Madrid are probably the strongest club side in the world, I can't see him leaving and Mourinho is stupid to swap a Higuain that is about to reach his peak years for a Van Persie that's on a downhill spiral.

He is

Van Persie on a 'downhill spiral'....bit dramatic. I do understand what you're getting at, though. Would you rather keep what we have or get Higuain in?

Aah, you're moving away from the 'fans favourite' thing now, fair enough.

He didn't say shockingly poor, he said overrated & I agree with him. Tevez is a class above.

He said somewhat overrated to put it mildly if we have to be pedantic over it

I dont think he is overrated at all as I dont think he is rated up with the top players
He is however a goalscorer and he does that fantastically well especially if you take his younger formative years he is right up there with the best in goals to game ratios.
Well if you want me to be blunt, there are several players including two at our own club already who I think would score more if they happened to play in the crap Spanish La Liga for one of the best teams in the world with the excellent attacking support from midfield which he receives regularly. There. That's it. He's overrated in my opinion because so far I haven't seen him do it when it isn't a stroll in the park. So yes when i say he's overrated, I'm putting it mildly because I have no idea how he would handle an actually competitive league.

Well to be fair mate you talk shit, being blunt about it

You're welcome to think that. I don't care honestly. Mind telling me though what's shit about what I said or is that the limit of the debate? I don't think I've attacked you for having an opinion, but I forget sometimes that "discussion" in the transfer forum boils down to telling other people they're stupid for disagreeing.

We've seen it time and again over the years that very good to excellent players' games don't always translate to different leagues. He might turn out great, but he's had a lot of advantages and are you going to honestly tell me that Tevez or Aguero wouldn't at least replicate that? I think they would and probably do even more. So think what you care to and like who you want to like.

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has hinted he might consider his future at the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

Higuain has struggled to hold down a regular place in Jose Mourinho's side this season as he battles with Karim Benzema for a place in attack.

The Argentine ace is also thought to be stalling over signing a new deal, alerting a number of Premier League clubs to his possible availability in the summer.

Higuain is remaining coy about his future and refused to commit himself to the Spanish giants beyond the end of the current campaign.

"I am available to the club but I will not say any more. This is not the time," Higuain told Marca.

"I can only say that I'm committed to the club and will help the team until the end of the season."

Will we make a move if we off-load Dzeko or will he come plus a sackful of cash for Aguero?

I think a strike force of Agüero, Tevez, Higuain would be dynamite!

All Argentinian internationals so the understanding between them all should be spot on.

Guidetti as 4th choice.

I think up we could get him for around £25m as well, Falcao and Cavani will most probably be top of the list, but for me there is far too much media hype on them resulting in wrong price valuations for them.

£40-£50m is far too much for those players!
