Re: Goodbye Mario?

If he goes my feeling of calmness will be replaced by a rush of anxiety whenever City are awarded a penalty.

And he seems to be character which makes a change from the likes of the bland Owen and Rooney etc. His apparent arrogance has fitted in well with the perception that we are not small time (on the pitch) and are now a force. And at times there have been flashes of skill but with Tevez and Aguero we have not had flashes we have seen sustained excellence.

When was the last time he played well for City? Is there any evidence that he wants to do well with us? For the money we have spent and he has earnt this isn't working.

Best sell and get someone (Guidetti?) who wants to play for the club.

Balotelli has become as pointless as Sinclair as even his new squad role of coming on for a couple of minutes to gift possession to the opposition is beyond him. He should have been offloaded immediately after the Euros when he managed to produce two good back to back performances (not something I can recall for us).

He should have travelled with the squad or at least met them en route if needs be. Perhaps he's flying to Milan from London if something is agreed before he's required against QPR.

goodbye mario,

some people need to bang there heads together when they say that Guidetti is a ready made replacement, based on what? the fact that he has played 1 game in the last 9 months, the fact that the kid has no Top level experience, ridiculous.

Mario is 4th choice striker who has made the massive contribution of 1 league goal...are you trying to say it's a major loss if he goes?

PLEASE....[/quote]

not saying its a major loss, but to say guidetti can fill the void is laughable.

You're not even a City fan, you're a Balotelli fan!

Re: Goodbye Mario?

The moral of the story is his behaviour and antics are not damaging himself but the club as well he needs to go and learn to mature and grow up we are a professional football club and dosent behave like a ptofessional

If i was city chairman or owner i would sack him end of the day forget the money and give players who want to play a chance like guidetti who will do the job without setting off fireworks in his own house

Re: Goodbye Mario?

I think there is a bit off brinksmanship going on here.

I don't know how many times Roberto Mancini has had to keep reiterating that he doesn't want to sell him, and that he is a City player. As far as I am aware he has been told he will be playing some part tomorrow night, he has not been given any special dispensation to travel to Milan on the eve of a big game for us.

So either it is.

A.Complete and utter bollocks and he has not took a flight.

B. He is deliberately making himself unavailable for team selection tomorrow night and holding the Club to ransom, forcing us to accept the shitty buy now and pay in 6 years offer on the table from the Italians as the only viable option.

Could be Mario and Berlusconni are both trying to screw us over here.

Re: Goodbye Mario?

He did his bit in our evolution. We've enjoyed his few high points and, fortunately, we've not suffered in the long term from his down side. Fact is though, we can do better and replace him with a squad member who could contribute a lot, lot more. Time to say goodbye and good luck - I'm guessing that he will always get a warm welcome back in Manchester, if only for his piss take wink to Ferdinand at the end of the semi final

You're speaking from the heart and not the head. If you sack him then you don't get a nice big transfer fee to invest in another player. If Balotelli must be sold then some kind of deal needs to be reached. Besides, one of his crew set the fireworks off. Not him.

Guidetti can't come in as a replacement now because of his injuries. Once he's fully fit then I hope he'll be challenging for a starting spot.

Re: Goodbye Mario?

Well the offer from A.C Milan is a feeble 17 million.City should demand at least 20millon from those jokers from A.C Milan!!!!!
