What does that even mean? I get you don't like him and respect your reasons but I think you'll find that since he signed we've won a little more than "fuck all" and for all his faults he more than played his part in the trophies we've picked up.
I hope we've got something lined up in the way of a replacement, because personally I'd have kept him until the summer as any injuries up front could cause us no end of problems in the run in.

he was a bad influence on and off the pitch. good riddance. people should go support ac milan if they are so sad to see this clown leave. this is a great day Manchester City!

All due respect mate I'm not on here to get into arguments over the Internet, but I'm 35 years of age and have been a season ticket holder at city since I was 11, so if its all the same with you I'll continue to follow City and hold an opinion on past and present players without worrying what somebody in Thailand thinks of me. Cheers.

No worries - I was thrown with you quoting my post

I was watching the derby (6-1) at my mates house who is Italian and a Milan supporter when Mario scored. He said to me 'I love 'im to play for us'.

Well, looks like he got his wish.

I'm gutted to say the least. I never questioned his work rate, skill or attitude on the pitch.

Farewell Mario. Looks like he's finally going to play for the club that he really loves.

I'm glad the media will leave us alone abit now.
Dont bank on it, lose or even draw tonight they will have a field day, Balotelli jumps sinking ship, sun headlines

Mario is certainly a player who split opinion, me personally.. i loved the guy. yes he was a pillock BUT he was OUR pillock & myself along with so many others would/will back him to the hills. but, the time was always going to come where Roberto & the board would have to make the decision that the club & the team have to take priority. Unfortunately Mario was no longer cutting it (some will argue he never did) & the time is probably about right about now.
no doubt it wont be long before we see him again in the headlines or possible even at the Ethiad. What we are now left with is many MANY memories. some good, some bad, some outstanding, some outrageous but alls i ask fellow bluemooners is that we let these 3 memories of Mario to stay in our heart forever...

His manner of leaving is quality. He's going back to his boyhood-supported club. We're getting our money back when there was a possibility of him going so far off the rails we wouldn't get a bean for him. He might have a genius inside waiting to get out, but I think if 3 years of Mancini's patience can't get him to grow up then I don't think life in Italy will do any favours.

But we do all love him - he's provided a whole lot of wonderful moments (and a few horrendous ones). Mostly it's been good. When he's back with Milan to play a Champions League semi-final in 3 years time he'll certainly get a good hand (and he's bound to score a pen against us).

Good move for Mario and AC Milan

Risky move for us - if we get through without injuries, it will have been good, if not then it could prove costly

I don't think we ever got the best out of Mario. But I think AC Milan will if they build their team around him.

The mind boggles.

This is going to sound like a dig (and, to be fair, such a topic is one of my hobby horses, so it would be fair to assume that it is) but actually isn't meant to be:

However, you have to realise that being a fan of a football club to some people is unrecognisible to how other people see it. To me, and most people who have been going since they were young, being a fan of a club is all about seeing that club live and seeing them achieve a result on the pitch.

To people who are supporting the club from miles away, with little genuine contact with the club and attracted by some sort of perceived glamour, things like the shit surrounding Balotelli help differentiate their club from the hundreds of others that could sustain the same function. It adds some colour. If you go every other week to watch the team try to achieve results, that sort of stuff is irrelevant as it doesn't register on your list of priorities. If you are miles away and contact with the club is limited to reading about this far away entity or watching on tv, hearing about Balotelli doing something idiotic is not a million miles away from hearing about another result (although obviously I would not suggest that it is as important in anyone's mind)
It was more him saying he was better than Dzeko :)

I don't mind if you disagree with me, Im just trying to explain the impact Mario has outside of Manchester (which I thought was what the Sheikh wants in the first place). Im genuinely upset as Mario has been my favorite, knob or not, for the last couple years... No matter how far away from Manchester I may be

Both parties are happy.City has a excellent deal and Mario wanted to go to Milan.
Grazie Mario !!

The why only me pic has cheered me up no end, just look at their sick cockney faces, they know whats coming the sad fuckers

Good luck Mario, apart from being the best penalty taker ive seen, you didnt achieve your potential at City. What a waste and what a shame. Couldve been a legend. But like when Robinho went we move on, MCFC bigger than any player.
