i am no medical expert, but surely if he is able to walk and is not on crutches that is a good sign, no?

I'm sure that his injury isn't as severe as is made out. The fact that he's already walking again is a very good sign.

I'm not following your logic. Are you saying that if a player is injured at point of sale, we should walk away? What happens when they recover a week or two later when they are fit again. For me, all players will get injured at one point or another, most are back at it sooner than later
