Harry Kane

How are we weaker? Serge played the equivalent of exactly 8 games in all comps out of 61 games total.

Grealish gives us a new attacking threat that we didn't have last season so we look stronger to my mind. That's disregarding any impact that the young players like Palmer and maybe Delap may have.
I think Pep will be looking for 15 goals from Grealish in all comps. Foden and Torres have an eye for goal and are a year older and more experienced. Sterling, KdB, Gundo, Jesus and Mahrez are all proven capable of scoring double figures goals in the PL.

The City strategy is to bring on youth but be prepared to splash the cash for top players to fill the gaps till they are ready. This will also ensure City meet any current or future homegrown quota requirements.

Kane was a no brainer replacement for Sergio but not at any price and not without risk.

Our attacking threat is still greater than last season even without Kane. I think Grealish will have a more positive impact than many credit. He is bigger and stronger than our other forwards and prepared to drive into the penalty area similar to Kun.

Where are those aggressive posters who swore it was a done deal?
Well transfer window is still active and there is still time to aggressively attack other posters once a new link appears. Ronaldo links will be there for good 48/72 hrs. They will be back

Has there been any news about what happened in the last 24 hours? Presumably we put our last and final offer in, it was rejected, Levy passed the news on, City confirmed they wouldn't go higher, and that's that?

I am certainly not disappointed. I enjoy the ITK info but deals can easily breakdown: the other team's replacements can fall through, players have a change of heart and negotiations can breakdown; there's also a lot of PR involved.

On we roll, new striker or not. Personally, I'm happy with what we have, augmented by Delap, Palmer and McAtee; go get 'em fellas!

If true that's even worse? It would mean we're about to go into a season with no recognized number nine because we were banking on a deal with Spurs who weren't even picking up the phone?
It may confirm the rumour of PL clubs refusing to deal with us.

think it’s bollocks tbh i can’t see us pursuing this for so long if they were refusing to even negotiate.

Some of you need to give your head a wobble. Calling this a disaster etc.

Our squad is fantastic and we'll be fine even if a striker doesn't arrive.

Having said that I remember people losing their shit because Koulibaly wasn't coming and look what happened there...
