Harry Kane

Let's be honest. Him scoring that many goals in a bang average Tottenham side is probably more impressive than Haaland scoring 36 for us in the Premier League if we take any bias out of it. The guy is an elite level footballer, yet doesn't seem to get the same respect around the world as Lewandowski or Benzema. He's a better footballer than the former and as good as the latter.

Or you could look at it another way?

Haaland is 22, playing in a new country and league and has scored 36 goals, been taken off plenty of times with half an hour or so remaining.

He lost momentum not playing at the World Cup, has 52 goals in total and didn't know his team-mates properly, whilst playing against park the bus every week.

If anything, Haaland is in a different postcode to Kane.

Kane is Chelsea and Erling is Belgravia.

He was never going to need time to adapt to the Premier League with his physical tools and the fact that he already played in the Bundesliga, which is as close to the Premier League as you can get but with much less overall quality. It's not like he was moving from Portugal or France.

And saying Haaland is in a different postcode to him is just complete biased delusion.

Haaland is more raw and Kane can do some things that Haaland can't do *yet*.

For me the difference is that Haaland is starting to show he's going to be capable of doing anything Kane can (already got the same number of assists as him this season), but is also capable of doing things that Kane never has and never will be able to do.

Kane is at his peak, Erling is just getting started.

Agree they aren't in the same postcode.

Haaland will never be anything like the playmaker Kane often is. He is and will always be an out and out number 9. Kane is a number 9/10 hybrid. He will never get close to being able to pass a ball the way than Kane can and does. Thinking he's one day just going to be a brilliant link player (yes, it's something he can and will still improve) because he's only 22 is farcical. There are parts of Kane's game that Erling is unlikely to ever get close to. And obviously vice versa.

And all this talk about him not being in the same league is complete and utter nonsense. Are we really suggesting that Kane wouldn't be capable of scoring the 6 goals there is between him and Haaland in the Premier League this season if he played for us and not Tottenham?

So in summary Haaland has scored more goals and made more assists than Kane in fewer games, yet cost about a third of what Levy wanted for Kane. Oh and how old is Kane again?

Pray he doesn’t join United

It's not just his goals. He will make players like Rashford, Garnacho and Sancho instantly better and more effective. Bayern are desperate for a striker and Real Madrid need to replace Benzema so he has to make a decision between wanting to perhaps become the leading Premier League scorer by the time he retires or to finally win a bunch of trophies abroad.

He's got to capitalise on the very short career he has left and the rags are more likely to pay over the odds in terms of both fee and wages. Theyll also probably offer him those terms on a contract that will be as long as any sane club would offer to a 25 yr old.
