Clearly Harry Kane fits with Bayern's style of play but he doesn't with the way England have played under Southgate. Kane is best in the opposition's box and we know he can score goals but too often England were so deep with everyone behind the ball that it was impossible to play yhe ball out at all quickly. Kane is not going to outsprint and consequently he got the ball 40 yards out. At times he seemed to have no option but to cross it .... to himself. He was rarely where we needed him to be (not his fault) and he was never where Phil needed him to be. In addition I don't think he was fit and seemed to be carrying a knock.
Statistics.......The rest of his game was poop.Penalties and goals in the 18 yard box aside he is ineffectual. Both Vinny and the new England coach have a job really in getting the very best out of him.He did score 44 goals this season...

Nowhere near fit. Whole squad were flogged to death over 7 games which is why he should have heavily rotated in the third group game, which everybody else did!
