Not one of them was England captain, top goal scorer and top of assists, if say we spent 50 mill on the top goal scorer and 50 mill on the top assist, we’d say good good business.

They weren’t contending for the title, so you can’t expect the same kind of performance. We also had bad moments at the end of the season, and it was the same reason: our head was in the final.
I never said they were a bad team or won't be good next season. I was stating that they had a very poor set of results at the end of the season. The 3 results against us gave a better impression.
Against the big six teams and both Madrid teams, they only had one defeat with Tuchel, against Arsenal (and it was a mixed lineup, without Kante and Mendy, for instance)
The fees we would have been willing to pay for Rooney and Terry when they were thinking of joining us probably wouldn’t have been far off in relation to the domestic transfer record
