Agreed. Really weird seeing the sudden negativity around him. He was the PL leading scorer and had the highest assists last season as well. A season that ended less than 2 months back. He has played 3 games since and everyone has decided he has lost his touch.

Southgate’s pragmatic tactics are the reason Kane isn’t banging goals in. He did have a good chance tonight that he should’ve scored but other than he held the ball up well and did a good job at linking the play despite being marked by two defenders - this has been pretty much the same in all 3 games so far.

For me it shows Kane’s maturity and willingness to do what’s right for the team - which is why I think he will be a great fit for us.

is that the reason he doesnt move and gets the lowest performance score in each game. How come others have played so much better. Perhaps footballs not for you if you cant see his limitations the last three games.

Sudden negativity? Check out the previous 770 pages - pretty much divided along the lines of those who see the stats vs those that see him play. Last 3 games certainly haven't changed my mind, and before this speculation can anyone honestly say his name on the teamsheet was a worry when we played spurs? General sense of relief that Poch / Jose didn't start Son iirc, as the most danger Kane ever presented was a snide challenge.
