Harry Kane

I am really excited by Kane in this city team.

look at the eye test and you see that you’ll get a clinical finisher but also a clinical playmaker and hold up player

then you look at the stats and you go wow. We’ll be getting an xG king. Which means he converts on little chances and big chances

with the xG we generate a game and Kane most likely to be the focal point of all that shot creation. I would not be surprised if Kane ends up with 30+ goals

The only downside to him is age and potential injury record. City really need to make sure they rotate him enough to keep him fit and firing

He is a perfect fit. He gets involved in both boxes and links play well for a player who you think of as just a goal scorer.
I must admit I have my concerns about cost, injuries etc, but more so that I didn’t believe this transfer could happen. But I am now convinced this is more than just summer saga which suits all parties to fuel whilst the real business goes on in the background.

Spurs have 2 transfers on hold: Marcus Thuram (winger/forward) and Nicolas Gonzalez (centre half). Both will cost around €70m or so. It means they require a big sale. Timing all coming together.

Reading what spurs and villa have bought/will buy it’s quite obvious both Kane and Grealish are close to being done.

Lol that is not a bargain and it is borderline bad business decision in this climate but to each their own
Well realistically he is worth the £150m being quoted in the press, so if we do get him for £105m (which I dont believe we will) isnt that the very definition of a bargain?

The most realistic deal for a striker would be Lukaku/Martinez, because Jesus would go to Inter but not to Spurs. Jesus could go to Juve, of course, but who would we take from Juve? De Ligt?

I'd prefer Kane/Haaland. But if a deal for one of them is too difficult to pull off, then we'll probably do a swap deal with Inter involving Lukaku/ Martinez and Jesus.

Wouldn't still make assumptions on Grealish, I still think that only happens if Bernardo goes. But I could be wrong, that one seems a too good to be true type of move. I hope it is though. Kane seems lot more logical given how things are moving.

I’m not so sure Kane will cost as much as some are implying.
Spurs are in a financial straight jacket and the whole world knows it.
Your assets are never quite the same in these cases. If their only way out is to sell players then how many of them could get anywhere near the threshold required ?
One step away from a fire sale here.

Who decides what he is worth though? I don’t think he is worth that so who decides a players worth?
