So let me get this right.

We’re judging a known profiling striker who scores goals without fail every season based on 2 games under well known attack-minded Southgate where the team has scored 1 goal?

I for one hope he’s here next season. He’ll take the piss in our team with the chances we create and runners off him. Like he does at Spurs with less chances being created.

People forget Aguero wasn’t exactly blessed with pace in recent years but still scored plenty based on movement and unbelievable finishing.
 
When I said he can't keep up with foden, sterling and mount mentally or physically a few on here promptly shot me down. Again I say he can't press and can't keep up with play. He swans around and ends up too gassed to do what he's good at, ie finishing.
We don't have superstars, we have a great team. Every player grafting and setting traps then expressing themselves. Jesus would benefit pur team more than kane.
I'd rather get nuno mendes and isak for the same price as what levy would want for kane. The dream is haaland but can't see us paying those agent fees and wages.

The concerning bit is it could well be true and on each occasion he has been rushed into the starting lineup either on club level or for NT. He looks fatigued and not fit at all, shouldn't even have started this game
 
What stood out for me in today’s game is how he isn’t a particularly great captain of this team

If he was snatching at chances, you'd think he just needs a goal. The two games so far have been embarrassing and his lack of pace is frightening. He can't be fit, which means Southgate is an even bigger idiot than we expect for playing him, but the concern would be that rather than fitness it's an injury he won't recovery from.

Think Torres at Liverpool after the injury, or Fowler at Leeds (& then us). Every player is finished at some point, it just comes to some sooner than expected. Without seeing something to say the real Kane is still there, dropping £100m would be a huge risk

Shouldn't be starting the next game, that's for sure. He's miles off the pace.

It's so true, that midfield is championship grafting level, Southgate is too safe, he's a shithouse and he's scared to have a go, boring manager created a team in his image
