Harry Kane

So if he was injured you think we would not rush back our 100m pound main striker?

Not as if we rushed back Kun or KDB before is it!
Maybe, maybe not. I wouldn’t base an opinion on trying to predict the future. Point is aguero was ravished with injuries. Didn’t change a thing, Kane gets niggles but still plays a lot of games whilst scoring a lot of goals.

He was not "ravished " with injuries when we signed him.

If Kane keeps free of injury he will score goals but already looks to have a very old body.

Yea at 20m, not 100m plus and I would imagine wages and bonuses far higher than Gundo.

Unfortunately mate that's the way the game is going/gone.... some of the transfers of late are ridiculous I think we can thank the rags and PSG for that. Don't get me wrong we spent alot on certain players over the years but the reason for that is because of the likes of them. We used to walk away but how long can you carry on doing that when other teams will spend. Going for someone like Kane who plays in the same league and has been class over the years comes at a stupid price like that.

Neither is Kane but it’s a good myth to pedal if you simply don’t want him isn’t it. When aguero arrived he got injured all the time. Missed large parts of a few seasons. If Kane comes in, scores at a similar level but missed some games with injury would you care? We have top men in charge who thankfully do their research and will know he’s not the Bojinov everyone is making out he is.

Aguero's biggest weakness was injury and the time it took him to get back up to speed when he recovered.

My point is Kane looks old already, he is only 27, yet moves like someone far older.

Continuous ankle issues are a major problem, look how Jack Wiltshire's career has been destroyed by them.

Bojinov again did not come with multiple injuries, we signed him as a fit 23 yr old, the injuries followed.

And what's the myth?

He has issues with his ankles, we are desperate for a top class striker, there are few around, before this tournament I was all in favour of Kane, I would have prefered Haaland but understand the club not wanting to deal with Riaola.

The more I have seen of Kane, the less impressed I am. Not the goal scoring but the lack of pace and athleticism. He looks tired.

He's a striker and he's a goal machine everyone keeps saying he looks old but he scores for fun I couldn't give a shit how old he looks if he keeps scoring.

I assume you'll be out of your seat applauding every time both his feet leave the ground after a tap in the back by someone's fingertip to win us free kicks?

God and some people slag Grealish off on here

I think the better he plays throughout these Euro's the harder it will be to pry him from Tottenham, that's why I have doubts about Tottenham letting him go, unless City meet the 150m evaluation, which I doubt we do.

I doubt the Euros will make a difference: he's not some little known quantity suddenly bursting onto the world stage. This is Harry Kane and his worth is based on a long track record.

He was always going to be hard to pry away from Spurs and they may end up keeping him but it won't be because he happens to score goals in an international tournament again.

He was exactly the same at the last World Cup. Looks a completely different player in the Premier League and that a far better time period to judge his athleticism and movement from.

How does not getting something prove we could? It's like saying asking any famous actress on a date and being blown out proves you could have dated her. It actually proves the exact opposite.
You may have missed the reasoning behind City very expensively putting a package together to prove that it could not only afford to pay for the best but could attract the best, when no other could.

You may have missed the bit where we didn't manage to attract the best, proven by him never actually playing for us. The closest we got was him claiming he wanted to leave Barca, which may have been true or may have been a power play against the President. At no point is there any confirmation he would want to play for us.

I am pretty sure that everybody at City would have been quite aware of Messi`s posturing, so what are you saying City were stupid to waste time and money r

No, I'm saying we didn't get him. We apparently tried (although we only have that through rumour), but he didn't arrive. I'm not therefore sure how not getting the best proves we can get the best. Would I prefer Haaland to Kane, yes, but maybe Haaland doesn't want to come
