In our dreams :-)Cheeky little bid for Phil Jones?
So what? Team morale is vital. And the speculation would not go away. There's a very good chance it will destabilise your dressing room. How can Spurs players aspire for the future when the heart of the team wants out? Spurs can hold him to his contract if they want but it will be damaging.I simply do not see the evidence that Levy is a willing seller. He says, for what it is worth, in the press he is not. You claim that Kane will be unhappy if the deal collapses. Maybe? So what? He’ll have to get on with it. If he really wanted to go he would’ve have signed the contract. And the so called gentlemen’s agreement? What evidence is there that it exists? What did it say? The deal is obviously still probable but it feels increasingly flakey.
I think you miss the point of a gentleman’s agreement. If there’s evidence it ceases to be that, surely its a contract? The evidence is Kane, who is universally accepted as a model professional staying away from the club.I simply do not see the evidence that Levy is a willing seller. I agree and only Kane and Levy know what was said.As for the gentleman's agreement, Kane appears convinced that it is real and, again, dismissing it as of no significance is ignoring one of the great causes of hostility and bitterness. Kane's sense of betrayal is a key element in this affair.
Hmm.There is no evidence that Levy has failed to honour this so called gentleman’s agreement, if it even exists.
There's.... absolutely not a shred of evidence for that either. You've just made it all up.I can well imagine Levy agreeing to sell Kane in the event that Spurs were to fall far out of contention for major silverware. But it is a cast iron certainty that any sale would have been conditional on another club paying the asking price. And there is no way that Levy would have been so naive as to put a figure on it. The naivety will have been all Kane’s and his amateur hour bro.
Fuck me! Do you lot know what a gentleman’s agreement is?There is no evidence that Levy has failed to honour this so called gentleman’s agreement, if it even exists.
