Harry Kane

As much as I like Kane I am not comfortable with us paying in excess of £100 million to get him.

Ings at £30 million would have been worth a gamble for me.
Why tho. Not your money. You're a fan not an accountant for city. Always find it bizarre when fans worry about how much we spending on a certain player

It's comments like that that make you look like you've been a City fan for about 5 minutes.
also what's the implication here? that if we somehow survived 2 more minutes without giving away a penalty and won on pens that we wouldn't need a striker anymore? people not to stop evaluating things based on the last event they remember

People still moaning about fees in here is getting boring. If we didn't sign anyone then there would be uproar. 120m/130m for the best, available striker currently available in world football. It is what it is. You're not gonna be on beans on toast for tea are you if City decide thats what they're willing to pay. Just let it go ffs.

A close loss with the academy lads in a glorified friendly against a full-strength Leicester? Why haven't we signed the league's best striker for over £120m in the next twenty-four hours FFS, banter club

Cash flow issues at their parent company in China.

They have sold Hakimi after one season and haven't replaced him yet. Looking at Bargain bin replacements for Lukaku. Most of the cash will be going back to China.

Can't be anything to do with the fact that they're famously on the verge of total financial collapse could it?
Seriously didn’t know how deep they are in shit now . Thought it wasn’t as bad it seems .
Tell inter we’ll raise you 1 million more then what chelsea’s offer for lump.

I said it would be 3 - 1 to Leicester yesterday, I was quite happy that we made it so close, seeing as we probably only had 3 or 4 regulars on the pitch.
Dias, Fern, Mr Whippy, Mahrez and maybe Cancelo of what you might consider for the best XI. I thought Edozie and Palmer did really well. Leicester were further on in their pre season and had nearly a full 11 barring Fofana and Ndidi. I too feared a bit of a drubbing. We did well under the circumstances and barring one slip up it would have been penalties (although again they would have been favourites having their first choice keeper).

Do you think our owners are reckless or negligent with our finances ? If not then there is nothing to be concerned about.

i do feel its getting to a point and a level that we are at that every new signing has to be £100million
once you start to pay big money for players fans will want it all the time

the only down side for me is the sell on value of kane and grealish
they are bought for one thing and its winning the champions league ? so if we don't reach them heights in 5 years then add the wages its going to work out about £500million

the unseen money is the wages and it almost matches the transfer fee and this is my fear
yes the gamble is winning champions league and titles and cups. but nothing can be guaranteed at this level and we seen already what covid-19 can do to football,

nobody that gambles wins every time ? manchester city have been burnt before but this is a all new level and could be long term damage

I think we are now at the level where it’s only a small number of very expensive players who could improve us

So in short , no you don’t trust the owners to have a strong handle on our finances and a long term business plan, that doesn’t involve reckless gambles Can’t help you with that. Their record so far tells me I can trust them they have a plan and we’ll be fine.

the club and owners are desperate for champions league success ? do i feel they would put the club at risk maybe not
but like i said we have gambled before and got burnt ? only this time its BIG and not £40 to £50million
