Not sure it was the wisest of moves by City to announce to everyone Aguero leaving, showing that we're very much in need of a striker. Then to base our entire striker hopes on a player who just signed a long contract with no release clause.

Especially when it seems we have no back up option with 2 weeks to go.

City people can be quietly confident all they like. Spurs are under no pressure or need to sell. If anyone is likely to crack it will be City who need a striker. We do tend to pay what the selling club asks for anyway.

That's how this works. Unless Tottenham have replacements sorted then they aren't going to sell. As has been said many, many times in the thread.


If we wanted Kane sooner we'd have to had massively overpaid, and as you can tell also by the many, many posts already complaining about the potential fee, if we massively overpaid for him further it'd be absolute bedlam.


Villa got their Grealish replacements in ASAP before they sold, no reason why Tottenham couldn't have done so as well.

To be fair levy is playing a blinder here. He knows we have backed ourselves in a corner and only have one viable option. He also knows Kane won’t refuse to play or kick up to much of a fuss as he is determined to break shearer’s goal scoring record and doesn’t want to sour his relationship with the spurs fans any further.

He literally hasn't done anything. He's just sat there while we tell anyone who will listen that Kane is our only option and don't even pretend to have any alternatives. We've also waited until the end of the window, because no rush or anything.
