We didn't need Grealish. Yeah, he is a great player but if you look at the bigger picture the first thing what we should've done is signing a striker. If that means our budget got limited because of that, and therefore we don't have the money anymore to replace a strike, which we currently also do not have, then it is a not so clever decision. We’ve made a record signing for the most talked about and most promising player in the country, and we’re very close to signing the Premier League golden boot holder, World Cup golden boot holder and England captain.
Both of which are desperate to leave their boyhood clubs where they were adored to move to City because we’re fucking mint.
A bit of perspective please.
I think City are hoping Spurs will sell as the window gets closer but whether there is any prospect of that who knows. So the news today is the Levy is refusing to talk about Kane to anyone, that is exactly the same story from a week or so ago
I would expect in the next couple of days either we see it as a lost cause if indeed Levy doesn't want to negotiate, which I doubt is the case and let it known we are walking away.
Alternatively Kane will put in a transfer request and then he really takes the blame and Levy will accept a very good offer and one that is affordable to City and the deal will get done.
There is no doubt that Spurs are looking to sell Kane but are hindered by the fact they cant get his replacement
The end game in either an agreed deal or no deal will be reached if not signed in the next few days imo.
But it makes no difference. We're apparently offering £100m plus for Kane and they don't want to sell so following your strategy we'd have no Grealish and no Kane.We didn't need Grealish. Yeah he is a great player but if you look at the bigger picture the first thing what we should've done is signing a striker. If that means our budget got limited because of that, then it is a not so clever decision.
A Disaster! The fact we have no back up option of another striker, even for a year, stinks of pure arrogance. If we don’t get a striker we WILL struggle. Last year was a fluke and ultimately, everyone else was crap. I doubt we would be as successful without a striker this year.
A disaster.

They said in last nights papers hes not travelling to stay and work on his fitnessDepending on whether Kane travels with the spurs squad today will most likely give an indication to how close this deal is.
The club knew what would happen with the Kane transfer and that it would drag on. Grealish was relatively simple as he wanted to come and had a release clause. Villa couldn’t dig their heels in. Got the easy deal out the way first. Simple logic reallyWe didn't need Grealish. He signed a new deal in 2018, they got to the semis of carabao and runners up in the CL final as well as finishing 4th that year. A great season compared to usual and he probably felt things were going in the right direction.Kane wants out we keep hearing yet why the bloody hell did he sign such a long contract.
I was shocked when I read that, my thought than was he has given up any hope of winning anything. He wont get out of spurs easily what a numpty.
Still think the same ! Signing such a long contract was mad.
The club’s valuation of Kane doesn’t fluctuate depending on how big the transfer pot is. We aren’t an amateur operation. That simply how things work. You can't spend money you don't have FFS.
At £25, that's lot of chin for the money if it is.I hope that's not life-size.
We’ve made a record signing for the most talked about and most promising player in the country
Well if his brinksmanship is to try to prove his loyalty to whoever AV style it is admirable but Ill advised. No champions league or even decent european competiton is going to stop top strikers going there to be honest mate, i personally think that is the problem, they cant get a replacement so have thought fuck it, we wont let kane leave now.
Fuck this then I'm off!Welcome to the new Bluemoon Knitting Forum, where there is absolutely no posts about transfers and no swearing
The club should've have an alternative, if things doesn't go the direction they thought it should. And currently we do not have that. Simple logic actually. The club knew what would happen with the Kane transfer and that it would drag on. Grealish was relatively simple as he wanted to come and had a release clause. But that 'simple' deal took an age, this will rumble on until a couple of days before the window slams shutThe club knew what would happen with the Kane transfer and that it would drag on. I would have gone for Ings myself or Lacazette but they will be ridiculed and I can see why when the alternative is Kane. I suspect City might make a late move for an alternative short term signing. If Lacazette is injury free then I think he would be a good short-term buy.The fact we have no back up option of another striker, even for a year, stinks of pure arrogance. If we don’t get a striker we WILL struggle. Last year was a fluke and ultimately, everyone else was crap. I doubt we would be as successful without a striker this year.

"an alternative"The club shouldve have an alternative, if things doesn't go the direction they thought it should been. And currently we do not have that. Simple logic actually.
