No way, they get it wrong all the time, they had Pochettino massively odds on to go back to Spurs, I got 20-1 for Nuno, same with a lot of other things, Glenn Close massive odds on for the Oscar I got 10-1 with Olivia Coleman. :)

Levy is in serious danger of over playing his hand. Won’t get north of £100m after this summer and could be left with a seriously unhappy player on his hands if he (Levy) has reneged on a gentleman’s agreement. I’d go £130m plus £10m of easy add ons - take it or leave it by midnight Wednesday or move on. We don’t need this distraction- try again for someone else at Christmas.

I’ve got some news this morning from my mate who works within the horse racing industry he isn’t a football fan but passes on bits of info he hears about to our group of mates about all different clubs.
He was working for one particular owner yesterday and was around a chat regarding Kane and apparently it is well known between agents and clubs that the deal is agreed. Spurs are trying to get players in but do it without getting fleeced and in most cases trying to get them on the cheap under market value using the pandemic as a reason. They are struggling to do this as the selling clubs are aware of what is going on and this is where the delay is.
Apparently Kane did not want to play at the weekend but compromised to help with the facade that the deal is not done.
He is pushing really hard to get to us ASAP he originally refused to go back to Spurs but that got Levy’s back up we spoke to him and asked him to be patient and try to not rock the boat.
If Spurs cannot get the players they want for the price they want the deal will only get done on or around deadline day.

Because you say you are baffled about something that you clearly have no idea whether it's true, or not. Second guessing City's transfer negotiations isn't the same as offering an opinion.

This is playing out like Bale to Real Madrid in 2013. All summer Levy was adamant Bale wasn't for sale.

With about a week to go Spurs started buying players and the day before deadline day Bale signed for Madrid.

If Spurs sign 2-3 players in the next few days we'll know this is on

Every chance you're right. If it does play out that way, what it also tells us is that it's effectively a done deal already. Levy won't be loosening the purse strings to buy unless he knows the Kane money is all but banked.

My honest opinion?
Kane is a dead end. He’ll play for Spurs and soon everyone has forgotten there was any interest from us.

Do I mind?
Kane never had the “wow” factor with me. Great if it had gone through (still might, what do I know?!), but absolutely no worries if he’s not coming.

Will it hurt us if Kane is not coming?
It might. As we will never know if he ain’t. And yes we might struggle furthermore vs the top teams. But we will be there and around so I can easily live without any silverware for a year. Done so for decades in the past.
If we pay 150mill, it might be so that it’s Kane struggling. We just don’t know because if he is the league top scorer for another three seasons 150mill is a bargain

Anyways in hindsight it’s all too easy. Nobody knows. And I’m not gonna lose sleep over it for one second. We have a brilliant squad and a great manager and a board to be trusted (except for joining a super league).

They paid 500k per week to get Alexis Sanchez deal over the line. They will pay a £100m because to them having top of the line players is very important at the club. The cnuts aren't wise, and we are blessed because of it.

I completely disagree.

Chances are this season Kane will still be in the Top 3 goal scorers in the league. United not wanting pay 100m for a 21 year old is pretty self explanatory.

This thread is full of people second guessing what the club are doing, when, truth be told, nobody has a clue.

This is true, But there is also no harm in people offering an opinion either? this is what the forum is about. People don't need to get so stressed about someone else having an opinion on a football fans forum.
